make best choices in the morning

When I first wake up I feel I can make the best choice. What I mean by this say during the day you feel guilt over something you shouldnt be doing. In the morning you feel like I am never going to do that again. Other example say during the day the choice is not really bad or good say the choice is to find a different job. During the day you are like I dont know if I should or not. Once you wake up in the morning sitting in bed you think yeah I will find a different job and you feel good about it.

The Word says HIs mercies are NEW EVERY MORNING. I beleie tha tas well. Each morning is a brand new start.

Whenever I have to write an important letter - or respond to a difficult situation - I always - consider it and write it down, then come back the next morning and re-write it -

when at all possible 24 hours separated from your initial thoughts - will always help you make wise desicions.

I write my best sermons early in the morning. There is something about a new day: A fresh start, old things are passed away, all things become new. There seems to be a certain amount of peace in the air.

Absolutely, I always feel I can think much more clearly after a good nights sleep.

I just want to pause for a second here and express my thanks to our wonderful Shepherd who leadeth us with His rod and His staff. I thank Him for discipling me because He has led me back to green pastures.

As with Baptism being a new beginning, so to is every day when one wakes up, the past is past, the body & mind is rested. I feel spiritually refreshed. The old adage of "Sleeping on it" is very true. When ever possible to delay a decision until the following day isa smart move, before going to sleep that night pray about it, then again pray in the morning about it again.

When I served as assistant to the Youth Pastor at my church, I noticed a note (handwritten) held to the Youth Pastor's refrigerator door by a magnet. I don't remember it word-for-word, but it read something like this:

Good morning,
I will be handling all your problems today.
I don't need any help.
Have a good day,
God

That's a good thing to think about when you first get up.
