So if the US government determines that it is against the law for the words"under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.
And if that same government decides that the"Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, So be it.
I say,"so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.
I say,"so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.
I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart.
BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.
I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays. After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be"politically correct."
In fact....
I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day....
And If A Preacher can Tell his Flock who he thinks is the best candidate to vote for ,The we Should stop voting and stop contributions to political parties, Our Goverment should have to tighten their belts like we all do and spend what they have in the purseand not what they don't have.

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the minority opinions and begin, once again, to represent the 'majority' of ALL of the American people.

Bro Mac; The difference between you guys that work for a living and us retired old foggie's is you get paid for your effort's. Sat. is the only day I am on a pay roll. Five days are "honey-do's" and Sunday's, I refused any pay, that way they always get their money's worth regardless of how poorly I may preach and teach. The end result is that we will carry nothing with us when we leave this life, "the rich and the poor all meet together".
Well i have to laugh...that'll never happen.
The government wont let it. They like the holidays...though they are changing alot of the names and rules of everthing and anything. It a long process of trying to please everyone. We all know howgovernment steps in ...then they can't do it no matter how long they try.
I used to remember George Washingtons birthday, Abe Lincoln birthday, I used to remember Good Friday and Easter and not to leave out Christmas. There are others too...
My kids are almost grownand all has changed...talking about Presidents day (no more George or Abe)...and they call Easter (Spring break). They can't even cellibrate Holloween in school. They can't call Christmas...Christmas...they call it Winter break...
Not that I mind what they call anything. I guess its to not offend anyone. I figure that this sectionHunting n Religion kinda makes things tough for me to stay in here...though I do like to read all your comments (some do get a little long winded)...I get lost in the bible sayings and what everyone else tries to tell me what they mean.I'm not a bible reader anymore, I just gave up. I just try n live life true to myself and those around me. But that is just me. (I do love to hunt, fish n camp though)

Well I don't hang out on this forum to talk to much. I hang out up in the top sections mostly.I just come down here to read. I have very different views. I could get lost n offend alot of folks but I really don't mean too. SoI just read and love to read ya'lls comments thou. Thx fer the welcome.
