Default Is there any single thing at which a human can be "perfect?"

Just some thoghts first, if you don't mind, then I will have a follow-up question.

Edit: Isn't it ironic that I would have a typo-error on my post about people being perfect?!?!

IMHO no, we can strive for it and possibly come close. I am sure there are those that think I am a perfect idiot, but I am sure I fall short of even that!

In my opinion, no. There is on physical or mental act we can perform that is 100% perfect. Well, maybe by accident. I'm sure that of all the times in my life that I have inhaled, one of them was the perfect inhale, gathering the optimal amount of oxygen that mybody needed at that specific time. But other than those types of contrived examples, I don't think we can do anything perfect. The more complex the task, the further from perfect our performance becomes.

So, my next question: How does our inherent inperfection effect our interactions with God's Word which is perfect?

I totally agree with this and is why I said I am not dogmatic because I know of our short comings.

One can be perfect in several ways. It just depends on which definition of the word "perfect" one chooses to use. My little desk dictionary gives 6, (six) definitions for the word "perfect".

When studying Gods word we all need to realize that we do not have a perfect understanding of it and never will.

We need to all be aware that just because we say "The Bible says so" does not mean it is so, what it means is "this is thewayI interpet what the Bible says".

Now let me clarify this and say that there are some things in the Bible that are not open to interpation, but when someone states that they know in any instance where it is not indisputable they are fooling themselves and others.

I thinks there are pleny of folks who figure that since the Bible is perfect, then so it their understanding of it.

Very true eto, pride is at the root of it, for some their pride prevents them from acknowledging that there is a possibilty they may be wrong, the kicker is that most of the time it is on things that are not Salvation critical.
