Default Coffee consumption can be dangerous

According to the American Psychiatric Association, my behavior is, at the very least, considered normal, at least in this society. "The use of various substances to modify mood or behavior is generally regarded as normal and acceptable in our society," a recent APA report stated. "Many people drink coffee or tea for the stimulant effects of caffeine, or engage in the social drinking of alcohol."
But for all my ranting in support of coffee drinking, it should be pointed out that dangers do exist, and the APA does not support unchecked coffee consumption. As the same APA report plainly states, "when regular use of [coffee or tea] begins to interfere with normal functioning, creating behavioral changes that would be undesirable to people from any cultural background, substance use has turned to substance abuse."
Dr. Griffiths concurs. "If you had a medical condition that was made worse by caffeine you certainly might want to give it up," he explains. Specifically, if you are pregnant, or if you have one of the following conditions, you may want to trade your coffee cup for a tall glass of water:
[*]Anxiety[*]Insomnia[*]Panic attacks[*]Cardiovascular conditions like tachycardia, palpitations, or arrhythmias[*]Gastrointestinal problems [/ul]
In conclusion brothers. Onver 79% of Americans drink coffee but if any of these symptons occur you may want to quit. Especially panic attacks and anxiety. Paul admonishes Christians to be anxious for nothing. I have nearly all of these symptons and had to say good bye to coffee and caffiineI can honestly say the gas is gone and most of the worry is gone if not all of it.
Love you guys,
Chuck

chuck i never realized what affect alcohol and caffiene had on my body, a very good life-long friendof mine shoots on the springfield armory team, he advised me about both, i asked him waht improved his shooting more than anything and those were the two things he added to practice, the reason i asked is because when i went to canada the guys we were hunting with advised that we be proficent to 50 yds (with bow), well i had already quit drinking and from then on i tried to avoid caffiene, very hard to do if you ever drink coke's/sodas, two things happened my long range shooting improved drastically, and my 20-35 yd shots got scary(destroying arrows scary), a friend of mine has invited me to shoot 3d stuff, but i really have to many other hobbies to try something else, but now i avoid both as effectivly as possible, i also increased the amount of h2o i was taking in, several reports are out about how seriously de-hydrated americans are[:-], i try to drink 8-10 glasses a day, if i'd have known i was gonna live this long i would have started doing these things a whole lot sooner.....

have a good afternoon, keith

Chuck it is good to see you trying to do the best you can according to the advice you haveread about. It doesn't surprise me any at all, to see you stepping up to try to do the very best you canin all the areas of your life.

I would like to take the time to caution you about trying to measure up to all the different rules\suggestions you will read about, they can leave you a bit over whelmed trying to do all the different things thatall the different groups say you should.

It is like being put back under the law, except it is the law or microscope of man, and we all know God is more mercirful and slower to angerthan mankind is.

Thanks
Mr-Pirk

Good morning Mr. Pirk,
The coffee thing is nothing like that. I agree with Jesus in that ...
Matthew15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
No, I'm not abstaining from coffee to gain favour with God. I'm the guy that believes all things are ok in moderation. Coffee just doesn't set well with me. It is not a sin if I drink it. I just don't need the anxiety.

As far as the law, no man can be justified by the law. If we could then Christ died in vain.
Galations 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Thanks Mr. Pirk . However this exercise has nothing to do with salvation , only health.
Love ya Sir,
Chuck

Hey Rev,
Good to see ya back . I was simply saying my friend that since I am high strung I would benefit from abstaining. I am thrilled to see ya back here.

I can testify to excess use of coffee messing you up, when I was in college on occasion I would go to an all night resteraunt to cram or work on reports, they had a bottomless cup of coffee for 50 cents!!! There was more then one occasion where I drank so much coffee I was actually hearing a buzzing in my ears!!! Not good, it was impossible to sleep so I was exhausted for a whole day after these cramming sessions, I quickly learned my limit of coffee! Some how I carried a 4.0 average, looking back I wonder how.[]

Shame on me Chuck for never getting a degree! I should have, but I had to put my family ahead of school, now it just seems to be something that is not all that important, 30 years ago it was.
