God loves you no matter if you read your Word or not.Even if you blew it or not. We are settled in His Great love not any good spititual works. As we grasp this we are then able to move on in the work of reaching others.
That sounds so simple, yet it is SO PROFOUND! To understand the basis for our salvation is in His instigating it, providing it, and maintaining it, and our responsibility is to receive it--all based on the fact that He loved us long befreo we ever could rspond to Him, is liberating!

My wife was coming to meet me for lunch and I had planned / promice God to read Psalm 119 at that time. AS she came ,the Lord reminded my Abraham Issac and Jacob did not even have a Bible. He said you need to rest in my love. And I felt a great peace come over me. So great I can love my adopted son who has been driving me nuts. I'mmaking him my ministry and plan to help him start a lawn service. I AM FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you realize that the love was initiated by Him, and given while we were yet sinners--opposed to Him, the pressure to perform is gone, and obedience becomes an act of gratitude for what He has given! Then that is transferred to our relationships with others--like your son!Btw, I am in the landscape business, so if I can offer any advice let me know.
thanks my friend. I have been doing it for years to. The way I have been screaming at himI know something has been lacking.It's been my own insecurity in God's love for me. As I realized that my heart went out to him to help give him some tools to possibly survive instead of rotting in a cell. In the past I have been setting my self up for failure. My college teachers and friends have been trying to tell me this for years. Even Taz PM ed me a long time ago. I did not hav eears to hear. I gladly accept Christ love now and lay down my efforts which are futile anyway. I quit!!!and rest in Him.
