I have plenty of time to contemplate things while sitting nestled in my stand among the branches of a tree waiting for Muy Grande to wander by.
Many of you know that one of the topics that I will fiercely defend is God's creation. Several of us have pet topics--mine's creation.
While thinking about this one morning a while back, it occurred to me that the reason that soooo many people are taken in my evolutionary theory is that satan has put it among the highest of his priorities. If you were satan, you would want desperately for people to believe in evolutionary theory.
Why?
Well, think about it. The very first words in the Bible are, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." There you have it. Satan wants to disprove the Bible from the very first words. If he can get people to believe the Bible is wrong about that, how can people believe anything that follows?
For at least the last generation, evolution is the ONLY origin theory taught in schools. Creation cannot even be mentioned (even though it's the truth). Since that has happened for so long, and since it has been taught as if it were a fact, many people now believe it has been proven.
Doesn't it make sense that satan wants desperately for HIS evolutionary fairy tale to be believed so that the rest of Gods Word would then be in question?
I think about things like this while hunting!

Dave I like the way you put that, if Satan can lead one to beleive the very beginning of the Bible is false then he has made a major accomplishment.
Like all the others here, I feel the closest to God when on stand or fishing, I feel like it is just God and I there with me praising him for his beautiful creation and God blesses me by exposing even more of his creation to me, be it a sunset, a hawk, a crow, a raccoon, or simply a leaf falling slowly to the ground.

great post as always DaveH, i am reading a book at this time that mentions this and several other issues that we have let creep into our lives, the book is called "the marketing of evil" and it is amazing what lenghts advertisers and companies and such will go to to push there agenda[:@], there was a Eviloutianist on a talk radio show i listen to and the host was grilling him very well, as it turned out he was a student and these were the beliefs of his professor[:@], he stumbled with predictable regularity, and basically left w/o being able to answer any questions, he kept giving the same lame answer, " all the scientific community supports the theory of eveloutian" that was his answer to everything, the blind leading the blind....
