execpt what God has to give

There are a lot of people there will not agree with this but that is OK it is posted for a reason.God has told use that he will set his people apart and will give them the richs of heaven and earth and will give us are needs. That being said we his people have to except what god give us and be open to his gifts and not say I dont deserve it. Yes we are to ? all gifts to make sure they are from God but we must be willing to take the gift he gives and say this is what God has given me.

? are we as Christians not soppose to have nice homes and nice cars. I know a man that wheres a 3 kar. diamond on his finger and he will be the first to tell you god gave me my job and the money that go with it. He was realy look down on by one of the churchs and he will stand and tell you real quit god gave it all to me. There was a pastor that said what do you give to the church and to God his reply was great it is nun of your bussness but if you must know I give 25% ever week and go twice a week to witness door to door. Then he ask the pastor what do you give silence from him.

Simply ? why do some Judge what God gives other people, and ? why does God not give it to me. A simply answer God may have try to give it to you and you just did not take it we must be open to the gifts of God. He want you to have it all to, if you are willing to trust and follow him

Did you have me in mind when you wrote this?

Maybe you did maybe you didn't. I hav ehad a hard time reciving from the Lord. Fact I get real worried when good things happen like I'm being set up or something. Because usually when I get blessed others get jealous and real hostile. Yes a few will rejoice with you but most take up the Joseph and his brothers syntrome. Throw the sucker in a well.LOL I have been trying to recieve better in faith instead of UT OH . Because of lately God has been opening the windows of heaven on me. I appreciate you Chuck .

The gift of eternal life is made available to all men and there is no price that can be set on that.

Some Christians here on earth are in much better financial situations than others. That has always been. Jesus Himself said that it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get saved. That indicates that rich people often don't feel the need for God as much as the poor. Why some have more than others can be answered in many ways --some of which just amount to how a person spends what they receive.

God does bless those who are obedient to Him. . . and takes away blessings of those who disboey Him. I speak from experience regarding this.

you are right dave but I was not talking about eternal life when I post this . When I started this it was for chuck and his wife and as I type it was for all we all need to open up to the gifts of God no matter what it is a house a car diamonds what ever maybe a gift of money that God has sent to you for some reason. We all need to stop ? what God sents us and praise him for it. We are not ment to do without or to sleep in the streets for ever if we do God must want us to learn something. sometomes he need to rip us down and rebuild for the greater good of Christ. But what ever God takes he will return 10 times to you if you let him. thats the problem a lots of us wont let him.

I hear ya brother.and this verse," If riches increase don't set your heart on them they can get wings and fly away. " One serious health situation can strip you good. I also believe one can be like Joseph. If the LOrd is bringing years of plenty you may wan tto invest. Homes and land seem to be a wise investment. However' homes and lands are in the 1000s and I beleie that diffently calls for prayer and fasting. You want to walk in wisdom and not fall under any peer pressure whatsoever.

PS I also beleie there are serious snares along the path of life and I may be guilty of over investigating each of life's situations. I know in dealing with humanity that love never fails...on the other hand when I smell danger I try to be like a wise old buck and high tail it. When I came to Christ I pretended I was a buck for one day and every little thing that was not God I fled. Well today I still stive to be in a place where I can hear his voice to let me know when to flee. Love is wonderful but always keep all 6 senses fine tuned. Remember how sincere Peter was when Jesus said "Get thou behind me Satan for thou sayest not the things which be of God bu tof man."

I realize that this is not responding to the full intent of this thread, however . . . I doubt very seriously that the Lord gave that man a three k diamond ring. Prosperity comes from the Father also but there are scriptures that tell us to be moderate in our apparel and not to be adorned in silver and gold. Whether or not we give to the poor, or witness door to door , we are also commanded to be modest in our appearance.

I have worked with my hands all of my life. I figure if the lord didn't bless wealthy people my services wouldn't be needed. He said there will always be the rich and poor amoung you. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be money rich and to be able to do some things I can only dream of. Than I realize God has blessed me so much with a loving wife and 4 beautiful daughters. When it comes down to it if I can't hold them than really nothing else matters. I look down on no man because he has more tham me,I think he has just done a better job with the gifts God has blessed him with.

DESERVE:to be worthy, fit, or suitable for some reward or requital

great post renfrowridge, i am one of those people that will say that i have recieved something i don't deserve, when i do this i am refering to the blessings God delivers daily, my wife, my family, my friends (that includes this group of friend

) a new and better job, a windfall, a new place to hunt, sometimes with the life i have led i am not sure that i am worthy of the gifts or blesings God has bestowed upon me, as for the gifts, i agree with you we must accept and use them or they will be taken away IMO, i view the gifts much the same way as the others have stated, some are gifted with their hands, some with their minds, some with their speech, some for their heart, none of us have the same gifts that is why it is so important to share the gifts we do posses with each other

, thanks for another thought provoking post, also a friend from work loaned me a book about God and money, it is a very interesting read, i'll call him later and get the name of the book,i don't believe money is wrong, i believe the love of money is, i know three multi-millionaires that if you saw them out you'd never know, butthey are good God fearing mean who have everything in the right place, i believe just as mac said i don't believe in flaunting or show-boating, i say it is fine to live comfortably, drive safe, decent vehichles, as long as everything is kept in perspective, i'm not sure about where you live but i have neighbors that drive 20-30K vehicles and live in trailers that you can see thru, and of course they have a satelite and big screen tv, to me that is not making the best use of your money,myself i'm a simple man, i like my house, i like my truck, and all that i have been blessed to have, besides the moneys not ours anyway it is his, we are just stewards, i say we do the best we can with what we have
