Our church recieved an 18 wheeler load of clothes and other supplies from Maryland. Man our fellowship hall is full of stuff that storm victims can really use. The church is giving out clothes to the needy that contact us. As there are many that have lost their homes , we are saving household items that came in on the shipment for folk when they actually start setting up housekeeping again. This gift did not come thru any gov agency or the Red Cross or anything like that . . .but from a church in Maryland. I think that this is a mighty witness of brotherhood when a church will work to lend a hand to some folk way down here in S Mississippi! Just goes to show that all yankees ain't so bad!

It was weeks ago that we recieved this shipment . . .I am only mentioning it now because I only now found out a little about where it came from. I believe it did come from a baptist church. It was originally sent to Alabama somewhere . . someplace that was so devastated that they did'nt have a place to put it . . .It was then routed to Bayou La Batre Ala . . . .where there was no room for it because of prior shipments . . .and eventually made it to my church here in Mississippi.
