Another Thought of Why Katrina and other Dissasters
While people have been saying Katrina was G-d's judgement on New Orleans for sins,
[/align]He showed me a different view.

[/align]New Orleans' sins are no more than any other city in the US.
[/align]
[/align]It's location would affect the whole nation in many ways.
[/align]
[/align]In His mercy, G-d saved more people than man realizes.
[/align]
[/align]New Orleans reveals the heart of this nation.
[/align]
[/align]
The heart of this nation has become hardened to G-d and opened to the ways of man.
[/align]
[/align]Instead of people, we count appearance to be important.
[/align]
[/align]Instead of souls, we count money to be important.
[/align]
[/align]Instead of homes, we count technology and buildings as important.
[/align]
[/align]
We flaunt our sins. We have lost our modesty. No longer do we feel shame.
[/align]
[/align]We openly wave it in front of all to see.
[/align]
[/align]We no longer share His love without condition.
[/align]
[/align]Instead, we have pride, and religion, and callousness, and rebellion, and fear of hardship.
[/align]
[/align]We have become lazy and lukewarm.
[/align]
[/align]This is not the worldly people G-d is primarily addressing.
[/align]
[/align]It is the CHURCH.
[/align]
[/align]
What happened in New Orleans gave us, as a nation, opportunity to repent.
[/align]
[/align]Instead we yelled at our leaders.
[/align]
[/align]Indeed our leaders have made poor decisions regarding blessing Israel.
[/align]
[/align]Our leaders are acting according to the heart expressed of the Church.
[/align]
[/align]People in our nation acted to rescue the poor and disabled.
[/align]
[/align]We gave and continue to give to the needs of those in this tragedy.
[/align]
[/align]We see it as an enemy to subdue and overcome.
[/align]
[/align]We no longer realize when we need to repent, bow down,
[/align]
[/align]and acknowledge our inability in ourselves.
[/align]
[/align]Our nation openly scoffs unchallenged at there being only one way to G-d.
[/align]
[/align]Our nation no longer recognizes G-d as G-d.
[/align]
[/align]Instead, any name we call Him by is acceptable,
[/align]
[/align]as long as we don't make anyone angry.
[/align]
[/align]We fear proclaiming truth.
[/align]
[/align]
The Church clings to the warm fuzzy words of encouragement.
[/align]
[/align]These put us equal to G-d, declaring He has given us power to the point
[/align]
[/align]that we proclaim we have power that is His alone.
[/align]
[/align]Yet we do not realize we are declaring ourselves to be able to do that
[/align]
[/align]which is attributed to the Lordship of G-d and His Son, Jesus.
[/align]
[/align]We don't want to be uncomfortable. We are special.
[/align]
[/align]We should not have lack, or be in need.
[/align]
[/align]
We want the birthright of the firstborn without the responsibility
[/align]
[/align]of the care of our siblings.
[/align]
[/align]We desire to be only Children due to our selfishness.
[/align]
[/align]We see ourselves as Abel, when instead we are as Cain.
[/align]
[/align]
Our rebellion is that as of Babel, in that WE will build,
[/align]
[/align]and WE will ignore warnings.
[/align]
[/align]Instead, WE will be brought down to our knees by G-d.
[/align]
[/align]
When I ask the Lord about the people in the forest and in the city,

[/align]He directed me to Revelation 3:16 - 19 CJB

"So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!

[/align]For you keep saying, 'I am rich, I have gotten rich. I don't need a thing!'

[/align]You don't know that you are the one who is wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked!

[/align]My advice to you is to buy from me gold refined by fire,

[/align]so that you may be be rich; and white clothing,
[/align]
[/align]so that you may be dressed and not have to be ashamed of your nakedness;

We are children in need of discipline and the care of our Heavenly Father.

[/align]We are those in the forest and in the city...equally in need.
[/align]
[/align]
G-d loves His Church, (the people who believe in Him and His Son).
[/align]
[/align]He is alovingFather, and He corrects those He loves.
[/align]
[/align]He has against us much that He has against the Church in Laodacea.
[/align]
[/align]The Church not only has lost it's love for Jesus;
[/align]
[/align]we've lost the passion (not lust) for Him.
[/align]
[/align]
Religious pride will rise up in many at these words of rebuke and correction.
[/align]
[/align]Many will ignore, and be as the Pharisees.
[/align]
[/align]Jesus/Yeshua will still walk with the repentant who see their need,
[/align]
[/align]just as He did when He walked this earth in physical form.
[/align]
[/align]
The plastic being pulled back, and then G-d's hand covering it after a small time,
[/align]
[/align]represents a greater susceptability to exposure to the enemy.
[/align]
[/align]
The following months will bring us trials to endure.
[/align]
[/align]It will reveal the result of that which we have sown.
[/align]
[/align]How we handle the challenges ahead of us in the following months
[/align]
[/align]will determine the extent of that exposure.
[/align]
[/align]If we repent for our sins, see our need, and humble ourselves before G-d,
[/align]
[/align]He will help us through the trials ahead.
[/align]
[/align]Our priorities will not be structures.
[/align]
[/align]Our priorities will once again be the poor, the disabled, the widowed,
[/align]
[/align]the orphan, the sick, feeding the hungry, and taking in the homeless.
[/align]
[/align]The one true G-d will be the only One we will speak of when we say "G-d".
[/align]
[/align]We will know our need of His Only Son, Jesus/Yeshua.
[/align]
[/align]We will be thankful, and we will be humble, and we will not judge by appearance.

He is making us to be in His likeness....

Originally I wrote this in a messianic site which are concious of God's sacred name so they don't spell out God but G-d out of fear of insulting God.
Most are still deep into Jewish traditions so I respect that and follow their web site rules, so when I posted it here I left it intact.As they grow in the Lord then they usually start to use his name and title "God"

God sent Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. He did not suffer massive shame and pain because Americans are pretty good people. The magnitude of Christ's suffering is owing to how deeply we deserve Katrina"”all of us.
Our guilt in the face of Katrina is not that we can't see the intelligence in God's design, but that we can't see arrogance in our own heart. God will always be guilty of high crimes for those who think they've never committed any.
But God commits no crimes when He brings famine, flood, and pestilence on the earth. "Does disaster come to a city, unless the Lord has done it?" (Amos 3:6). The answer of the prophet is no. God's own testimony is the same: "I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the Lord, who does all these things" (Isaiah 45:7). And if we ask, is there intelligent design in it all, the Bible answers: "You meant evil . . . but God meant it [designed it] for good" (Genesis 50:20).
This will always be ludicrous to those who put the life of man above the glory of God. Until our hearts are broken, not just for the life-destroying misery of human pain, but for the God-insulting rebellion of human sin, we will not see intelligent design in the way God mingles mercy and judgment in this world. But those who bow before God's sovereign grace and say, "From Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever," are able to affirm, "Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways!" (Romans 11:36, 33).
