Before I get started I am going to say I am thankful for what I have. I am wondering why some people have alot of money, better job, smarter, etc. Look at our CEO's they are very powerful and rich. I try to work hard in school things just dont come to me.

Brother,
I am a testimony of what you are talking about. I come from a hick family and made straight D's in school. I got into the wrong crowd and was hidding to jail or hell real fast. I was in the military for 4 years and after 1 year unable to make rank. I foolishly threw a bandnet and stuck a fellow soldier in the neck while drinking on guard duty. They told me I would bedismissed after a one month war game at Eglin Airforce Base. While there I read my New Testament through. Imet the Christ and repented of my sins. They saw I was serious and the riches began. I was given 3 promotions and sent to the White House as part of the Honor Guard. I went tocolege since the military was paying for it. I must say I hav e alove for God's Word since it all started with God's Word. I ge tmuch more than the intellectual part while reading...I have fellowship with Him. He enlightens my life and neat things happen. True riches my friend are in knowing . As we seek Him first all these things are added unto us. Much has been added unto me and I feel God is trusting me to be a conduit to let it flow right out and bless others. I could list all the blessings but I won't. The biggest blessing is knowing HIm. All things end up in th ejunk yard. Your relationship with Christ Jesus is really what matters. Yes, presently I'm at a blessed mode but I also thanked and praised him when I was in the food stamp and county hospital mode. The years I've lived in poverty has helped me not to get real crazy in th eyears of plenty. I hav eone deer rifle and am content. I have a 20 some year old bow and am content. Truly godliness with contentment is great gain.
Deerhunter, I always told my son, "You haveto learn, how to learn." I have always been a blue collar worker
and God has given me more than I deserve and I live
a good life. I did graduate from High School, but never
went to college. My father had the money for me to be
a doctor or what everI wanted, but I did it my way.
All my cousins are CEO's, Doctors, Lawyers, but they
live a life by an appointment book. They all envey me
cause I go fishing and hunting whenever I want too. Give your life to the Lord and He will show you the way! Believe me brother, the Lord does'nt lie!

Live Life in such a way that those who do not know Christ will come to know Him because they know you

Well, we all have our own issues to deal with. But I know if I had perfect health, lots of money, best job, I would have never turned my life over to the Lord. I believe it took alot of praying by my brother and friends, for God to take note. Slowly, my big money and job went away. I still did it my way. Then I started losing my health. I figured out he was serious.
Then you may ask, "does God not care about the rich CEO" enough to convict him? Well maybe his big plan, he is using the big rich CEO to bring some poor humble guy closer to him.
Alot of people were greatly upset after the hurricanes. They thought they were marked by God. But I have to ask, I wonder how many people got Closer to God during the hurricane in New Orleans. Maybe they are the lucky ones.
I know I could not handle being beutiful. You know being the star type. God has saved me from that and the problems that go along with it. I would have slept with every girl up the East Coast. So he loved me so much, he gave me what I could handle.
Ps 37:7
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. (KJV)
deer i have seen both sides of this coin, i once had everything a man could ask for, but was i grateful, no(i still wanted more!!!!),were these things taken away from me, in a way yes, i did not show gratititude for the things i had already been blessed with, so why should God continue to bless me?what i'm saying is you should never be envious of another person. there arepeople that maybe should not have what they have and i believe if they don't change their ways they will lose what they do have, seen this happen several times, i used to also think that only sinful people were prospering, i could take you to a couple of friends houses that are some of the most religious people i know and show you this is not so..atone time in my life i thought tithing was stupid, i worked, i made the money, i was using my brain. but what i was failing to realize is these were the things (gifts)God had given to me and i had never thanked him,i was to full of myself[&o].. i am happy to say that i have made a drastic change in my life, and God is my driving force,in the last3 years my salary has decreased by 40%,the plant i workedat had been sold, and things looked gloom. you have 2 choices, take whatGod has given you and work with it, or lay in self pitty
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
best of luck deer, there is some good reading out there that could help you see things in a different light, also on your other post if you feel you need to talk to someone p.m. me or whatever, i used to drink very heavy, i thank God daily that the desire to drink/get drunkhas been removed, now i enjoy being high on life,i have not drank anything in a little over 7 years, being sober will give you a whole new perspective on life

dh-i look at it this way- God has given me what He knows i can handle. i work for what i have, and i give the Lord thetithe and the praise for what He has given me, and health to enjoy what i have.i know others that have a lot more than i have, and are not Christians. i now realize that they have their reward here on earth -mine is waiting in Heaven! i'd much rather have mine there!

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work ~Isaiah 54:16
Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness; for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. True wealth isn't measured by poisitions in life, money in the bank, or material things that one may own.
Who was the richest, Lazerus or the certain rich man?
There are rich men who are not owned by their posessions, and poor men that are completely engulfed in greed, and envy. God gives to us all generously, in one way or another, but it all is from Him, and for Him so He determines what and who, and how much, how little. Paul was given , that is to a man, the greatest revelatioin ever entrusted to anyone, yet had to be conditioned and even afflicted with a thorn in the flesh to keep things in perspective. If you look deep enough, you have and weall have been entrusted with unique giftings, and talents, and abilities. It's His job to decide and distribute, and our job to be faithful stewards of what He decides to bless us with.
