I am applying for acceptance in an intense and grueling training program with prison Fellowship. It is called The Centurions Program. It involves 12- 15 hours of homework, reading multiple books, and travelling to Virginia 3 times for conferences over a 1 year period. The purpose is to train and equip people from all walks of life, differing careers, and backgrounds to explain,defend, and teach the Christian Worldview. It is taught by Chuck Colson and the Wilberforce Foundation. I have been involved in apologetics and am currently reading works by Ravi Zacharias, C. S. Lewis, Norman Geisler, and others to prepare myself to be ready to give an answer, as the Scripture commands us to do. My request is for you to pray with me concerning my acceptance. It is something that I really want to be a part of to further prepare myself for encountering today's culture.I would ask that each of you would join me as you see fit, and ask that I follow His will, and accept His determination. I want to be a faithful witness, and to enhance the gifts that He has given to me. Thanks in advance--Greg
Heavenly Father please be with Greg in these coming days and help him both spiritually, mentally and physically to prepare himself in this calling, open his mind and spirit to your bidding and lead him and teach him in what you wish him to learn and do in his work for you. Thank you to all of you. I have searched a long time for that place I believe He has called me to. I truly believe that this is in the right direction.It's kind of scary to think of the commitment and the effort involved, but if itis what He wills , then He will also provide the will and the way.
