Default Just got back from Vegas

Oh my goodness, what a horrible place. The most unholy place I have ever been. There was one Mexican giving away some God Saves literature, I have to turn around and tell him he was the only bright light in the darkness. Actually didn't tell him that but should have.

Did see some wonderful scenery at Valley of Fire, and Hoover Dam. But for a Christian who doesn't really drink, no interest in nudy bars anymore, and don't gamble, Las Vegas ain't the place for me.

Good to be back brothers

Welcome back Bc. Good that sin city didnt get ya

Never been there myself - me& the mate have gone to deadwood- s. dakota a few times in the past . They dont have nude shows, or prosatuites etc. Just low stakes gambling& free foods last times there anyways.

We drank coke& coffee- the valley of fire/and the dam sounds intresting tho.

You know where the buffalo chicken wingwaswas born? I lived not to far from there- a place noted for bars, street walkers, crimes etc

They never talked about that in chicken wing history?

Goodness Gracious, my mother has been calling, my girlfriends mother has been been calling, my best friend has been calling, all with the same question. They all say, "tell me Mark please that you didn't tie the knot in front of Elvis". Nope, never would. She was working out there for a conference, and I figured it best to tag along.

Don't know the chicken story.

BC,

I hate the place. I spent a week last November with the shades drawn during a conference.I was staying in the Flamingo and the Mirage and Ceasars had all kinds of filthy billboards and ads right outside my window. I liked the food and my colleagues were good company (My catholic hunting buddy was with me) but i realy did not like the city at all. What really irked me the most was a just a few weeks prior to my business trip, my wife and I were there to see some friends in Henderson.

I wanted to smack the idiots peddling their porn shows on paper. Here I am walking down the street with my wife and kid in a stroller (unfortunately the place we were going with our friends was a "family" place on the Strip) and these people are pushing their filth right in front of my wife and kid. I can see them trying to offer it to a single guy walking (not that it should be any different) but a guy with a wife and baby--that tells you how low and corrupt people are in that city. Glad your home and hope you never go back, I won't be. If my job wants to go to a conference there again,I will refuse. If my friends want us to see them again, we won't be taking in any of Vegas.

God Bless,

Porter.
