Default trusting in God

Lately I dont know what it is. I am trying to become a better christan person. I am be no means prefect. I get drunk every weekend. In the end money, materialized things wont matter. Talking about materialized things I have a good place to hunt deer. About 40 acres of woods and about 170 acres of farm fields. Its not the best place to hunt deer. There are no monster bucks. I just thank God that my family does own all this. That I do have a place to hunt. There are some people out there that have a hard time finding a area to hunt. I am by no means a genius but I get by. What I am trying to say is just thank God what you have. There are other people out there that dont have as much. If something goes wrong or things are looking down. There is only one way to look. That is to God. No one else can help you not even our supposely all powerful goverment. Governments do fail, but God will always be there.

I have to respectfully disagree with you, Who. I believe that God loves us. We are his children, not his puppets. I can tell you from personal experience that God is always there. The only distance that we ever feel that we have from Him is the distance that we put between us and Him by ourselves. I have found that in my life when I include Him in each day, that day goes better. If I forget, well, typically my day isn't as smooth going. But without a doubt I know that He loves all of us. We just need to open ourselves up to Him before we can feel His love.

"Discuss how your religious views affect your hunting lifestyle. All religions are welcome to post."

That means just what it says. Your posts were anti religion, and not allowed, just as anti-hunting posts are not allowed on the hunting boards. There will be no further warnings.

I used to doubt God, but I had a few chats with Chuck7. This man can convince a stone to sing to a leaf on Pluto!

To sum it up, Chuck7 said that you have to accept God. If you do notaccept Him, you will not get any help from Him.

First of all I have read all of the replies. Thanks Zak and Reb for the encouragement.

Fred,

I love your post. You said alot in those lines.
1. You are honest about your drinking. That in itself says alot about you. Some of us here are not struggling with that but we struggle in other areas such as gluttony , gossip , lust etc. YOu will be in our prayers friend. Please pray for me as well. I also have not arrived yet either.

2. You are right ...we need to be thankful. I love hunting and own 1/4 acre lot.LOL Most of my treasures though are in my heart. Being thankful is a big part in walking the Christian life.
1 Thess.5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

3. We are admonished to lift up our government officials. They are only human as well. However; this is not our home. We are pilgrims only passing through.AS you said....be thankful for each day. Serve the Lord each day. Fred...dedicate a part of each day to read your Bible . Apart from Christ it is impossible to do good. The bracnch cannot bear fruit apart from the vine. Impossible. Find 15 minutes to 30 min. sometime each day and read aboput 3 chapters of the. Also...find a quyiet place and give all your request with thanksgiving to God.
John15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
God's Word Fred will change your way of thinking. Before I was a Christian I read the New Testament from cover to cover. YOu have no idea my friend the wonderful things tha tGod has in store for those who love Him and His Word.
John14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Can you imagine that Fred..The creator desires to live in us by His Spirit. When this happens there is no end to the possibilities in your life. God specializes in making something out of nothing.
God bless and praying for ya,
Chuck
