Default Testimony

Hey folks,
I've been working on my diet and reading my word lately in the school cafeteria. It has opened doors. Another teacher is going to church with me this Sunday. However ; today I was getting behind on my lesson plans and decided to take my plan book to the lunchroom instead. When I got there a girl by the name of Rebekca said." Mr. Borden ,you forgot your Bible." I smiled and said you are right . Please go back to the room and get it for me. I will do my plans Sat. "Out of the mouth of babes."

Brother Chuck

You know I am fairly sure I know, but what is a testimony when used in the church?

Big Country,
Good question . As a new Christian I went to a Pentecostal church. At a certain time in the services some churches will ask for ' joys and concerns' or ' testimonies'. They give individual believers a chance to stand before the local body and tell something that God has done in thier lives. This is done to spark faith in the heart's of others as they see God working in your life.

On Wednesday our church as been going through a book in titled Praying the Lord's Prayer. I missed the first lesson but on the 2nd lesson he talked about God's name being holy. After hearing the Word I threw all of the videos I had with God's name used in vain ...such as Tombstone, Forrest Gump etc. I felt strongly to fill 2 bags up and toss them in the local dumpster. I believe God has blessed me for acting on that. Last week we studied about " Thy Kingdom come , thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." the pastor said God's will is the building of His Kingdom and what we are praying is for God to use us for the building of that kingdom. That urged me on to witness at my school. I am fortunate of having a Christian principal. My wife is still taking classes because she is out of field. She is hearing from other teachers that they have been warned not to mention the name of Jesus in thier schools. I know I would do it anyway. You can not sit there and see parents and children in such a lost position and keep your mouth shut.

Testify my brother. Testify to what God has done for you at your work place. Testifying is opening up your mouth and sharing with others what good things God has done for you.
I love you Big Mark,
Big Chuck

Chuck this just shows that your students notice what you do and obviously you are setting an excellent example.

Taz,
You sent me that site 3 months ago while I was doing th ebook of John. I have it on my favorites. Th ecomputer at school is set up differently and I have no idea what I'm doing on that one. I love that site. Brother , I am no longer surviving in the Lord ...I am thriving in the Lord. And I want to thank all of you who have been a cold drink of water for me while I have been in the dry place. I am revived and God will use me to lead others to Christ. The message of love has kept me from going crazy.
Love Ya ,
Brother Chuck
