What do you guys have to say about shooting somone in self defense? Is there any thing in the bible that says you could kill somone to pretect yourself? Or that you can't?

As long as I have a breath left in me I would defend the safety of my wife and children with my life. If that meant taking anothers life to save theirs than yes, absolutly.

Me and my uncle "youth leader" had a conversation about this. It said something like if its day you can defend yourself but dont kill them. But if its night and you dont know who it is and you kill them its ok. Or something like that. Im not the best christian there is and no were near as good as some of the people on this bored and probably never will be. But if my saying is wrong about the killing and defending please dont call me a bad christian or something.
