Default Sodomy or an "alternative lifestyle"

Hey guys I was shocked at the things some teens were saying on another site about how they saw nothing wrong with being gay and that we need to be more tolerant because they are born that way. Christian teens at that! This is what I said, sound ok to you guys?

1.)post
"I saw where many of you said you didn't mind if people were gay and that they were born that way. If you believe the Bible (and I don't know who does and does not) you know that people are NOT born gay. look at what God did to the gay people in the bible. Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. If you were gay you were killed. Would God kill someone if they could not help themselves? Read Genesis 18 and 19 and see what happened to those gay people in Sodom and Gomorrah. Jude said (7) as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Bottom line, you are not born gay and if you are gay its because you chose to be. "

love the sinner hate the sin. Homosexuality no longer is referred to as sodomy (the longtime historical term for same-sex relations), but rather as an "alternative lifestyle." The media do not view homosexuality as sin, but rather as a valuable contribution to "diversity." Individuals (or organizations) who dare to speak out against homosexuality in order to expose it as an immoral practice, often are confronted by militant activists who work diligently to spin the issue back into a "civil rights" matter. The success of the homosexual movement in this area has resulted in numerous Christians remaining silent, for fear of being labeled as hatemongers or worse. Some Christians seem to have forgotten the words of the Savior:
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness" sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake (Matthew 5:10-11). Please understand: God loves all sinners regardless of the specific sins they have committed. But it is imperative that we be about the business of alerting those who are engaged in sexual sin regarding God"s will, in an effort to "snatch them out of the fire" (Jude 23), and to "save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins" (James 5:20). One day it will be too late for both those who "not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them" (Romans 1:32). Indeed, the "sexually immoral...shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone" (Revelation 21:8).

What does the Bible say about homosexuality?
There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away. The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires. Nevertheless, the truth stands: The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Let's look at what it says.
[blockquote]
Lev. 18:22
, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

Amen, Brothes Moose and Reb.. You are so right. But it seems those against God word will try to change His word by saying lowering God's standard to the standards of a lost and dying world.
I must admit, I have a sister that is gay. Nothing thatI say can make her change her ways. I can only pray for her, and hope that one day she will realize her sin.

I agree, whole heartedly, one question (and I told you I'd have millions of them ) Should we show them any pity for their predicament, or should we turn a harsh hand on them?!?

Let's leave the judging to our Father.

Thisthread isn't about feet, and oils, it's about perverted, dirty, disgusting, selfish, sinful, degrading sex.

I have a brother-in-law that is gay. He has struggled with it for a long time and I know he hates being that way and would love to be straight but he just isn't. I know a few other people that are gay and there is no way that they "chose" this lifestyle for all of the heartbreak they have caused their families and friends but it is a fact that they have just had to deal with. They may be attracted to the same sex but as long as they obstain and accept Jesus as their savior then what is wrong with that? Could it be possible that being gay is just their cross to bear?

Pike, he can't say he believes in the Lord and keep doing what is doing off
and on and expect to be saved.

John3:3
[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
