Default Power of prayer.

Brothern, a must read book "Healing Words" by Dr.Dossey.
He is a native of Texas and has beenat the San Francisco hospital
in California for many years.
This is a doctor that believed in Science and Evolution all his younger
days and has witnessed to thepower of prayer so many times, that he
was changed of his beliefs and now believes in the Christians belief of
the power of prayer. He even did expiriments with patients at the SFH
on the power of prayer and modern science. He was in amazement of
the recovery of the power of prayer, that he wrote a book "Healing Words".
He even states the conditions of patientsthat had no scientific hopes
and were completely healed. If you don'tbelieve in the power of prayer,
read the book.

Reb, i have never read the book but i have heard the story several times, there is no denying the power of prayer, i also heard of another doctor that recommends all his patients pray daily, some have dismissed him, some have made unreal recoveries, the power of prayer, yes its for real

There have been several studies done that show that religous people heal quicker and recover far more often from terminal illness then athiest and those with little or no religion.

Bro.Alex, I have had bipasses in both legs, have had surgery on my back,
had my gallblader removed (that was gangrious), had a transplant of
the right eye lens and other small out patient surgeries.
The doctors are amazed of how fast I heal after surgery. The secret
they don't know is that, every night a couple of the elders from the church
I attend, would come and we would have a prayer meeting over my
recovery. Praise Jesus, He hears all!

Matt. 18:20
[20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

OKLET US COMPARE WOUNDS ,lol.

I was borned weighing 14 Lbs by natural birth out in the country side, it took my mother 18 hours of labor, I was borned stilled and the doctor gave up on me and went to work on my mother who was hemorraging profusely. after 3 hours my grandmother picked up my body to wash it and burry me and she prayed over me and I opened my eyes and began to breath.

thenI develop malaria for in those days mosquitos carried the virus and was very ill and almost died, my grandmother made a Nazarene vow for me, that I would not cut my hair until age 7 and only if the Lord healed me, at age 7 all symptoms had dissapeared.
Today if you study my blood I have no malaria antigens, which usually a person infected will have.

In 1966 I was shot in the abdomen in Vietnam, most of my guys were killed, I carried my lieutenant on my back for 5 miles to safety, with my guts hanging out and bleeding, I spent 7 months in the hospital 38 days in a coma, all this time I had thousands praying over me.
I saw angels in my room walking around me. andI could see other places that are not of this world.
Subsequently the abdominal operation was badly sewened sawI developed a huge hernia and in 1978 I developed peritonitis and went in for an emergency abdominal repair and removal of my bursted appendix, the infection was very bad so I lost concious for 2 weeks, all this time my pastor and church were praying for me, I recovered fully.
While still in the hospital I prayed for a 13 year old girl that had days to live with bone cancer, 2 weeks later she was totally healed and even the University of Miami Hospital at Jackson memorial dept of oncology that had treated her and declared her terminal within weeks, did not believe the results of tests and X rays.
Then in 1979 the abdomen gave way to another incisional hernia about the size of a basketball, again I had problems, developing an intestinal obstruction, for which my best friend and family made the funeral arrangements,I was annointed with oil and had hands laid on me and 2 days later the obstruction opened and I pass gastric juices and went to the bathroom a week laterI went home.

In 1983I developed the hernia again, this time a Christian team of doctors operated on me and placed a teflon mash in my abdomen so I would not loose muscles again and no more hernia, they prayed ver me while doing the surgery.
The operation was filmed for the University of Miami school of medicine because they had never seen a hernia so large. the operation took 11 hours, in which my heart gave out and I flat lined, they try to resucitate me for about 10 minutes, meanwhile I found myself in the presence of the Lord with millions of people around me, finally when I realised I was dead I pleaded with the Lord to take care of my wife and two young sons, he said "You take care of them and teach them in my ways" you will always be welcomed here;I found myself back in the operating table with many doctors and nurses over me working on me.
despite the trauma in 2 days I was eating while the other operations it took me weeks to be able to eat and 5 days later I went home.
Now my wife and I pray for the sick, feeling compassion for them because I have experienced all these things plus others in my body, and the Lord has done great healings in front of our eyes.

You see the knowledge that I received is this, no one goes before their appointed time, we see children that die and it is very painfull, but their time was cut short for a purpose, that child will return in the resurrection with all the knowledge that he/she will need to live in the kingdom and serve God.
So no matter what we have an appointed day and hour a minute a second in which we will go to be with him.

The word says, "and if we live for him we live and if we die for him we die wether we live or die we belong to him"

I do not fear death, because I know as soon as I take my last breath in this mortal body, my immortal one will be in front of Him.

There are no Baptists, pentecostals, methodists, mormmonsOr Jews in paradise, there were only saved people there ,every race and all who believed that Jesus paid for their sins.

Peace!

Default RE: Power of prayer.

I was Borned Jewish, from a Saphardic( Spanish)Family ( From Greece), we all accepted Yeshua (Jesus) As our Messiah in 1957 and have many pastors in our family.
My Grandfather who was a very well known Rabbi discovered Jesus encoded in the Tenak( Old testament writtings) and came to the conclusion the Messiah had come as Messiah Ben Yosef and fulfilled the first half of the messianic prophecies and Hebrew writtings.
So he secretevely accepted Jesus as the Messiah (Christ). in 1953.

The Jewish writtings teach there would be two messiahs.
1- messiah Ben Yosef= The messiah son of Joseph
2- Messiah ben Davi= The Messiah son of David

My grandfather discovered encoded in the Hebrew Torah that it would be the same person fulfilling both roles even after he would die the first time, how could that be unless he was brought back from the dead ? That sounded much like the new testament so he began to studied and compare to the old testament what it said about the messiah and concluded the man name Yeshua had being the Messiah name Yeshua whose father was Yosef from the tribe of Judah.
The same tribe my family comes from. Thus we are Messianic Jews. Christian Jews.

Shalom ( peace)
