Default Where Is My Lord?

I have had everything go wrong to me within this past year, on occasion it was like God was there and he helped me emmotionally, even though we are not suppose to rely on our emmotions when it comes to God, but sometimes you just cant help the way you feel and what your heart tells your mouth to say! Within ONE single year, I have lost my family, I have now lost my Job, I am having to move in with my brother due to the bankruptcy that i had to file since my finace and my son had moved out of our home we bought together, she is now living with a black man in a one bedroom apartment, my neice had just slit her wrist on my son Hunter's birthday, I have been packing up my house by myself and this weeknd has just been a mess for me. I know I am still blessed for having family to go, but where is my god? Why arent my prayers being answered, why hasnt he helped heal me, and do the right thing or say the christian like thing I should say when times get hard, than to curse and hate and feel violent all the time?? Has anyone gone thru this??

Turkey Fan,
Do you daily read your Word. I mean alot of it and not just a copuple verses. David said in Psalm 119 Afflictions come sometimes to stir us back in the Bible. God is a jealous God and does not want anything to come between you and your relationship with HIm. This has been my experience. Stuff like this usually causes me to keep totally quiet and get to a place to hear God. If you would read 10 chapters a day I believe you would see immediate results. At least that has been my experieince in the last 30 years. David says in Psalm 119" Before I was afflicted I went astray, now I will keep your commandments." God will make you like Christ ...even if it kills you.

His Servant,
Chuck

Brother TF, the Lord sometimes has to grind us to refine us.
What has to be done to wheat to make flour?
What has to be done to rock salt to make table salt?
What has to be done to corn to make grits?
What has to be done to coarse sugar to make fine sugar?
What has to be done to coffee beans to make coffee grinds?
They come out to be fine products! Sometimes the Lord
makes things rough for usthru the process, but He never
leaves your side Brother!Psalm 66:16-20
Because of Christ, God always hears you

[blockquote]
Come and hear, all who fear God, And I will tell of what He has done for my soul. 17I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue. 18If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear; 19But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer. 20Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His lovingkindness from me.[/blockquote]

Turkey Fan,
I appreciate your humility. Some folks would of told me to go straight to you know where. I'm saying this from alot of experience. The Lord saved me from great sin. I still battle with sin daily. When I was a new Christian I would carry my Gideon New Testament everywhere and read it everywhere non-stop. It worked. Now tha tI don't do those outward sins any more I don't need to read the word so much ..HELLO YEAH RIGHTNow I have to work on those other church excepting sins like
Gluttony
Gossip
Lust of the eyes
Slothfulness
Unforgiveness etc.
So guess wha t...I'm back to realizing I am hopeless without Him and am reading more Word than I did before. I can't explain it bu twhen I'm done reading between 3-5 chapters my mind is totally different. And things begin to work out.
Brother Chuck

turkey, man i feel for you, 2 1/2 years ago the company that i was working for had announced there were selling our plant, my only option, which in my opinion was not an option, was to relocate, my wife has a decent job, and will get to retire in 1 1/2 years, i couldn't see us giving that up. i had a small landscaping biz, and had thought of going full time and growing that biz, well febuary of that year i herniated a disk in my lower back, tried the shots, and they helped for a little while, after the 4th treatment of the shots, that btw only lasted about 2 weeks, doc said it needed to be fixed, so may of that year i had my back fixed and what little bit of biz i was doing was givin to a cousin that is a firefighter and has a lawn biz. being put in a very bad finacial situation was a wake up call for our family, we have been fortunate to keep our home but we have given up a lot of things, and ate alot of deer meat and rabbits and doves and fish, i have another job at present its not really what i want but i keep working on and praying for something i enjoy and could make a living at, my point is don't sit on your duff w/o working on your situation, prayer w/o action is dead, you'll have to do your part. i feel for with the situation with your fiance, but i feel this has happened for you benifit and that she was not the woman you need to be with, just my take on the situation. as far as your money situation i would suggest you check out daveramsey.com, try to find him on a radio station, he is a christian fin. advisor, and you may not always like what he will tell you, but it does work, i know first hand. i really think your signature line is right on the money. you are just at a bump in the road, one of lifes storms, and it will pass. keep your head up brother, things will get better

(Hebrews 10:35-36 KJV)
(35) Cast not away therefore your conf- idence, which hath great recompence of reward. (36) For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

In the Book of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, were thrown into the firey furnace.

God didn't say we were not going to go through trials and tribulationd, but He is in the fire with you my brother....

Daniel 3: 25 Look! he answered, "I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire and they are not hurt, and the from of the fourth is like the Son of God!"

Bro. Reb is right, we must sometimes go through some refining before the finished product is complete... A beautiful diamond goes through years of pressure, before that lump of coal is turned in to a beautiful diamond.

Remember, there is no victroy with out a battle.
I will keep you in my prayers!

Though we are strangers know that all of the brothers on this forum love you and will pray for you. Most of all know that God loves you. I think a little different about your situation than some of the other brothers. I think the sinful actions of others have affected your life. People make awful choices that can affect others live's. Praying to God for you to find a new and better job. That your heartbreak will be healed and many blessings will come into your life. May the peace of christ fall upon your heart brother. Chris
