Default I'm back!!!!

Bretheren I missed you all, I hope things have gone smoothly in my absence. Besides finishing a bunch of honey does I succeeded in lining up some great hunting property about 5-6 miles from my house! This place has a little of everything, it borders a resevoir on one side, it has mature hardwood, a couple of small streams, one power line, some open field, some over grown field, and a few garden plots that the deer are tearing up.

Sounds good and I am happy for ya. It has been very peaceful around here and probably a little more peaceful in the future as I have discovered I don't know it all.I'm starting to enjoy learning from others and seeing God's uniqueness in each of us.
Peace,
Chuck

Brother Chuck you don't know it all??[8D]Any one who thinks they do know it all about everything about anything is doing 2 things, fooling themselves and being extremely prideful to think they know it all!

Brother Hog it sounds real good, but I have only got around to doing a few hours scouting which means I have a ton of work left yet. First thing I need to do is start hanging some scouting stands to where I can see where they are crossing the power line and fields to where I can tell where to hang my stands. Of course there is the scrape hunting and finding where they bed, but in this case I have a feeling that thier bedding area is a gimmee.

Work is key I have found over the years, I have known guys that could sit on a bucket in a Wally World parking lot and deer just walk right up to them!!!! I am not a natural deer magnet, I have to work for them.

I hear ya brother. I've had to work for mine as well. One of the problems of a know it all attitude........you can never find a church or have pure fellowship. This site has helped me figure it out that I needed to abort my know it all attitude and listen and as Paul said " Consider the opinions of others better than your own." He also said "Never compare yourselves to others."
Peace ,CHuck

Thanks for the welcome backs all, I am scared to ask you all for a source for sausage casings for fear I will be accused of counting my chickens before they are hatched!

Bruce I have yet to be able to find them in Fredericksburg, I even went to a place that processes deer and they wouldn't sell the casings to me, of course if I paid them to process my deer they would make sausage for me!
