chuck-we are sending over 60% of our workforce south for hurricane restoration. please keep them in your prayers, as this is a very dangerous time to be working on the light and power lines. we lost a man last storm, and don't want that to happen again. might say one for us that were left behind, also, as we are working very, very shorthanded. i will be working 12 hour nights for at least the next 14 nights straight. keep us in your thoughts and prayers, please. thanks--and may God bless you and yours-bill

Prayers for all in this storms way, it is supposed to be really tearing things up down there, I pray the flooding is not as bad as it was when Camille hit. There were more people killed by the flooding then by the hurricane itself!

I haven't been online for the last few days, but I've certainly been keeping our Christian brothers (and sisters) in prayer because of the hurricane. I hope to hear from them soon.

All---we are being told that we will have to make a near complete rebuild of our transmission and distribution lines along the coast areas of La. and Miss. our crews are starting in the northern sections of the states and going south, restoring lites and power as they go. we aren't being allowed into the worst hit areas to even check on what it may take to restore them. keep our guys and gals in your prayers, as this is some of the most dangerous work we do.will keep you updated on the board when i get the chance, and get more info. thanks, and may God bless you and yours! bill

got this on company newletter today:

"Entergy crews returned to New Orleans yesterday, arriving at 7:30 a.m. CDT to begin assessing damage and restoring power. The crews, who handle the preparatory work prior to reestablishing electricity service, along with the National Guard escort vehicles, formed at the toll booths of the Crescent City Connection Bridge on the West Bank of the Mississippi River and then proceeded across the river into the city.

Limited service was returned to the Central Business District and downtown New Orleans last night by crews restoring the Market Street substation. Restoration continues to the underground networks in the CBD today."

keep these people in your prayers, for it's some of the most dangerous work we do, as many of you know. they are working long hours in not the best of conditions, and under a lot of stress, knowing how much people are depending on them. thanks-bill
