I was just thinking. Of us who have gifts , do you use those gifts? I am not saying this to be smart ,but I have noticedthose of us who claim to have a touch from the Lord are also ministers of the gospel. Is that possible why some of us have been touched in a special way..

Chuck, I wittnessed to inmates everyday for 12yrs brother.
I worked among them day-in and day-out. The ones that were
in confinement, I would slip tracts under the door's that the
Chapplin would give me. Always had them in my tool cart.
No inmate would ever mess with me,or they would have to
answer to the other inmates.
I have run into inmates that have been releasedat Home Depot
or Sams that have come up to me and hug me and tell me how
they appriciated for me to have kept them in the Word.
Makes me feel good inside! Glory be to God!!

And that I believe is one of the purposes of the Holy Spirit. Acts1:8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
I believe many have gifts however they fail to excercise them. The more you use a gift the stonger it gets. I know when I first started using the gift of decernment I really wasn't sure if I was getting it from God, or if I just had a gut feeling. The more I used this gift the stonger it became, and I know nowit's theSpirit!
I don't believe justmust ministers have gifts, they may just excersie their gifts mores.... Also there are a lot of fakes out there that profess they have certain gifts, and they try to fool others. Why? I don't know! I know one can fool another sometimes, but one day all will have to face the Lord. Last time I read, lying is a sin.
For those that do not believe in the gifts, that's your belief, and I respect it.
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.(Romans 14.1-5).

I wasn't passing judgment. I believe many more people have gifts and do not use them. Some because they have been taught all their lives there were any gifts. Some because they are afraid of something they can't understand... I don't pass judment Mijo,,,, that's not my job.

When your talking about the gift of discernment are you talking about seeing things in the heart of other people? I do not have that. I know two that have . I do beleive every Christian if he is full of God's word and filled witht he Holy Ghost has supernatural discernment. Discernment examples..
1. To advoid certain people
2. Not to hire a certain contractor
3. For me..which child needs a stern look and which needs a hug.
4. To advoid certain shows on TV
5. To stay away from certain churches
etc.

I know an inmate that is really strong in that gift. He told me about some friends of mine named David and Brenda Green, and named them... I've never discussed them with him. He also told me about someone else, and named them as well.
