I am posting verses that talk about the power of God's Word. Preaching is futile here for eachhas theirown interpretation. So I will just post the verses. I love God's Word and have returned back to my first love....much reading of God's Word. When I did that as a baby Christian I grew alot. 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
That my friend ,is a wonderful truth.

John 4:23-24 "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
Ifferd,
I really have not givenalot of thought to this question. For me that is a tough question. I personally could not pull the switch on anyone. I am also not talking off the top of my head. I am currently read up and prayed up. I have repented of my luke warmness and have rededicated my life to Jesus Christ. I only thank God he has not put me in this position.
1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Chuck, never give up preaching the Word..Paul told his preacher boy Timothy,
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine." 2 Tim. 4:2
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isa.55:11 KJV.
"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?' Romans 10:14
O f course there will be those who ridicule you, and laugh at you, and yes even curse you but you must never stop preaching the old old story, that Jesus saves..Jesus preached it and died for it..the apostles preached it and died for it..
if we would spend more time preaching the Word rather that arguing about the gifts and snakes maybe things would go better and someone just might see the light..God bless you all..

Motor,
We all thank you hardily for the exhortation. We need to hear that often.
Romans1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith
