Friends I have a serious { non trapping question}

After reading the post on prophecy and gifts I have been doing some thinking. When a person told me I would be going to the White House and I actually really did.Is that considered a....
1. Prophesy or a
2. Word of Knowledge.

PS That is my only experience with that type of thing.

Chuck, that would appear to be a prophecy. In my opinion tho that one instance does not necessarily a prophet make. I get antsy with prophesy and prophets when I'm going on unseen , second hand info . . .not to deny your experiance, . . .I somehow believe what your saying, it's just that in order for me to consider a person a prophet they would have to be tried and also known by my self.

Chuck, I think that person seen your Orders to the white house, before you
did and I don't mean God or a prophet.

God uses people with out that person being priviledge to giving you a word or a prophecy. I have many times been in conversation with some one and they will give me the answer I had been waiting on, without ever mentioning anything about it. God uses whatever means He can.
I am sure Chuck it was a prophecy..

OK,
I think I am understanding. Since it was a future event it would probabl;y be considered a prophecy. A Word of knowledge I believe is when God shows you something abouit a person. A word of wisdom is what to do in a given situation. To be honest I'm glad this was brought up. You know why......because it is not happening in my life. You know why it's not happening......because I'm not walking in true obedience. When you compromise and make excuses all the time one can never expect to grow closer to God. Genuine people who have true gifts in their life are marked by magnificent love and holy obedience in their life. Lord please help me. Not to see gifts but to at least be at a place where I have no excuses.

IMO a prophecy fortells a future event before it comes to pass. A word of knowledge gives guidance or wisdom cercerning how to handle, or what needs to be done in a situation

I believe that too. We need to be at a place to be used like that. At least I do. I hate telling of things that happened 20 years ago.We need a fresh stir now.
