Default A place to learn

Dear Friends,
Although there has been an awful lot of negativity here lately there have been alot of lessons to be learned. I thank God for the lessons I have learned from here. Here are some of them...

1.Through PMs I have learned that there are all kinds of folks on here. Some may have just lost a loved one. Others may be gone through a nasty separation. Some may have just been diagnosed with cancer. We need to keep all of that in perspective as well when replying. Choose your words wisely.

2. Also ,I'm not very knowledgable on politics but I'm seeing some of that here. I see folks teaming up with those of similiar opinions and ganging up on those who differ. This is not good. This is very carnal. I choose folks to hang with where my faith grows. To be honest with you when I'm done reading these posts lately I've been very bummed. Being bummed is not good for your soul when coming from other Christians. We have our hands full enough dealing with the normal trials. I think this part of the forum is a good example of nasty politics. Instead of the Republicans and Democrates we have the various strong hold doctrines.

Solution.... Folks keep it simple. Let's try to rebuild relationships instead of preaching to the choir. If things don't change I plan to post a whole lot less on here as well. I need faith not strife and confusion.
God bless.
Chuck

you are so right chuck, you don't have to look very far to see someone that is less fortunate in any walk of life, it could all be worse. we should all take these things into consideration when responding, i mentioned in an earlier post about how i have always like rebel hog's post, a young gentleman on anther board was getting some grief over a small doe he had shot, he obviously would not have been here posting it if it had not been a genuine trophy to himself, i congratulated him as did several others including rebel hog and some others that frequent this board, but some people were incredible mean to this young man and i think he left[&o], wow good job for those guys"as i shake my head in disgust". i think being cautious of another's feelings is on of the best traits a person can have. and certainly one of the most commendable ones.

as far as the political side of this i will not be drawn into those issues, i am trying to keep my separation of Church and statein check, the moral issues that are not correct do get my attention, but its still the things i have to live with even though i oppose them completely, IMO some things should never be accepted behavior in any society, it really shows how low we have sunk, abortion, same sex marriages and homosexuality, should never be tolerated by any nation, and its no wonder we have become the laughing stock of others[&o]

BTW please don't be bummed, your words of encouragement have brightened all of my darker days

have a blessed day
Keith (aka m.t.hands)

Rev,
I have to agree that alot of these folks make good fellowshipping. However ; I have learned it takes 10 positive remarks to make up for every negative one. I don't know if that is true or not but if it is ,we are past due I believe. Dennis made an interesting reply. He said he noticed some folks set out traps. That's funny , that's exactly what they did to Jesus. They always tried to trap Him with his words. Sometimes he was silent sometimes he trapped them right back. I also see lots of those traps as well. I believe the only thing that will sincerely bring us together will be persecution. Then we will be talking about daily survival and not your theological opinions. When that happens it will be easy to see who is really on the side of the Lord. It won't be he who gets the last word but he who is literally willing to lay his life down.

Be strong my fellow Christians , quit ye like men and be strong in the Lord.

2 Cor.10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
Love ya.

Chuck, what I have noticed is there are some that make 10 negitive remarks
to every positive one. Now, doyou want to set me up for a trap?

Reb,
That is what we teachers are taught in school. Many of them only fuss at the students all day. That does not help that student get one ounce smarter. Reb, I really don't understand your reply brother. No, I'm not trying to set traps. People set traps to belittle others. I have no need nor purpose of doing that to any of you, I do feel there are some who despise me.For those I don't set traps especially because it will only backfire and I will look like a fool. If I sense someone doesn't like me ,I leave them alone.

My eyes are fixed on Jesus. I try to be an encourager on here. However when I feel I am no longer wanted I will keep my mouth shut and move on.
Happy hunting my friend,
Chuck

Rebel ,
Sometimes the best thing we can do for the gospel is keep our mouth shut and move on.

James 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

3:6And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

It's saying an uncontrolled tongue is straight from Hell.
