If we could all lay down the opinions and ideas we al have it could come sooner than later. Remember Jesus told us that if we loved one another all the world would know we are His, John 13:34-35. And that if we had unity LIKE the unity He and the Father have (one in word and deed) the world would believe in Jesus John 17:20.

One of the greatest dangers to Christianity today is the deliberate suppression of biblical truth for the sake of unity. The danger intensifies as we see many highly visible and influential Christians are jumping on the Vaticans ecumenical bandwagon. Instead of warning believers that this false unity is the emergence of the "last days" apostate church, evangelicals are embracing and applauding those who are engineering it. Brother Mac I agree that many churches are embracing the world rather God, endorsing Homosexuality as acceptable in the eyes of God is one thing that absolutely shocks me.

The Independent Baptist church has a congregational form of government with each member having the right of the vote and all the affairs of the churches are conducted by the local congregation following the guidelines of the New Testament.

Bro Leaf; There is a teaching that the mark in the forehead is the receiving of the doctrines of the mother of harlots church. The mark in the right hand is the receiving the right hand of her fellowship. Have you ran across this teaching in your area?
I have given the "spiritual" mark a lot of thought also. There are some who don't claim to be christians but know about the literal mark. Some would die before taking it while not being christians. But a spiritual mark would be taken and they would not even know what they had done.
