Mr-Pirk,

Commendable.

I try my best to keep to the high road in judging different churches.
And what is the "high road?"
Quote:
Mostly as long as a church teachs usto Love God and Love your fellow man(the "works" we must do)I can see the rest as falling into the "gray" of the black and white.
The two great commandments, yes, these are a core component of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I probably make more allowances than I should.

Perhaps.
Quote:

In my study of the LDS I feel I cannot call them brother.
Unfortunate. Perhaps you should start studying LDS sources. You seem to have soured a bit towards LDS Christians and for not good reason.
Quote:
It is my opinion the LDS is much more about loving Joseph Smith than about Loving God or Truth.
This is simply false.
Quote:
To me the very first thing a Christian MUST be is a lover of truth.
I do not recall ever stating or having it expounded to me that a central tenant of LDS belief is the hating truth, therefore I fail to see your point.
Quote:

I can not call muslims nor hindu's nor buddist nor many others "Brothers in faith".
And rightly so, none of these religions accept the salvific nature of Jesus" sacrifice.
Quote:
From what I have read of the LDS I cannot call LDS "Brothers in faith".
And what have you read? Again, I think you are giving undue credit to the writings of those critical of LDS Christianity. In learning LDS belief you should go to the source and then compare the source to critical expositions thereof consulting an informed LDS Christian to verify that the critical sources have properly interpreted LDS belief. Most have not and are frankly not trying to.
