Default We Disagree Too Much!

Brothers, I would hate to think what the Lord is thinking about what we are doing in this group of fine God fearing men. We are constantly arguing how each of us interpret the Scriptures (including myself). I know I am new here and probably have no say, but we should not be arguing religion, it's not about religion, it's about RELATIONSHIP with our Lord and Savior Jesus Chrsit, of whom we all Love.

I fear an unbeliever will join in and see how we fuss and fight. How could we expect for them to join the 'Family of God" when all we do is argue. Like the rest of the world.

I am saying this in love, I believe Brother Chuch has already tried to mend our relationship with each other... Remember the common bond that holds us, we are hunters (myself strickly a bow hunter), and all of us love the lord..
I am not trying to dictate what we say, we should just be more careful to lift Him up, and not tear each other down. I have looked foreward each day to view the new post, but lately we sound like the rest of the world. This ought not be so.
Said in Love

One time I no we dealt with this issue. The other extreme is..is that it get's to boring without the fights. People were not signing on much I noticed. When there is controvercy LOTS of Christians log on to see the commotion. Very interesting.

I've been reading here for only a short time myself and
have hadsad little to contribute. This subject is one I
have noticed. I don't think disagreeing is in itself a bad
thing (there'd besparcecontent without it) but there is
the occaisonal flair up or throwing down of the gauntlet
thatwould seem to only push people apart and possibly
new readers away (unless they just come by to say "hey
look at them go at each other"). I was probably too harsh
in my criticismof another member and am sorry for it. I
must admit I can besomewhatopinionated, just another
failing I wish to deal with.
I've learned alot from this forum and will keep coming back.
I've already seen some people say that they're leaving and
won't be back for this or that reason. Hopefully cooler heads
will prevail.

Good Brothers,

I would hope that anythingI have said is to be of assitance to clarify my position about my faith. I'm sorry if I have become contentious. I think I have presented most of my thread and posts have been in an informative, kind and nothing in an ad hominem attacking manner (With one exception being my last post to Snooky, that one one I was a tad sarcastic on.)

Hopefully if I have been part of leavening the lump, it has been to bring others to a "higher" view of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Not that one would have to agree, butI would hope that at least some of the false assumptions have been clarified in regard to the beleifs. Again, you don't have to agree, but some of thepsychobabble like Joseph Smith being an adulterer, Mormons wear hats with horns underneathand other nonsense has hopefully been dispelled.

I didn't come on here to "get a rise" out of anyone, if that was implied. I hope I would know Chuck well enough that he would say anything derogatory like that. That said,I have never seen a negativething from you brother, Thanks!

God Bless everyone,

Porter.

Rev,

Not to be contentious with you. I think the reason I may have appeared this way is because of what I have seen on your web site. Again, not to attack you, but you hold a view of Latter-day Saints and have a website where you clearly attempt to demostrate the "false beleifs of Mormons." (Among others I might add).

When I see things in print like you have on your site (That are not what I REALLY believe, but you are telling others that is what I believe)I feel the need to explain whatI actually do believe. Personally, if you do not feel that it is right to conend, why not remove what you have to say about my faith and others?

I don't think I have personally attacked anyone elses faith on here, but as a lay person LDS apologist, I do feel it is important that people have a correct view of what I really beleive. Is what I have had to say fair? HaveI ever attacked you? If I have, please forgive me, but I really don't think I have.

God Bless,

Porter.

PK, if we all beleived the same, it would be a wonderful world to live in,
would'nt it?
We have members that beleive in different Bible versions, members that
beleive in the Trinity and members who beleive in Oneness, members who
beleive in the Holy Spirit and members who don't, members who beleive in
the power of healing and members who don't, members who beleive in
speaking in Tongues and those who don't, members who beleive in Joseph
Smith and members who don't. All we need is some Jew's, Budaist and
some Hindu's and it is really going to get really hot in here.

Agreed Rebel Hog.
If there was a representative from all
of the faiths you mentioned posting here I'd never get anything
else done trying to keep up with the posts!
Discussion is one of the best ways to learn there is when we
open our minds as much as our mouths (in this case fingers).
I won't let myself get too involved here for 2 reasons:
1, My Bible study isWAY behind most everyone here.
2, My contentious nature would come across asjust the
kind oftonethat should be avoided.

Thanks to all for your openness and willingness to talk
about your faith no matter the differences in detail.

Bro.PK, if I ever say something you don't agree with, come back at me.
If I offend you in any way, let me know and I will apologize to you.
I consider everyone on here as a brother in Christ, even the Mormans.
I don't care if they are White,Black, Brown, Yellow or Red, they are
all brothers.
