Default Christian Motorcycle?

Anybody a member? Anybody know there believes? Is it like, we accept any and all believes?

Thinking of checking them out. It would be a tad different being on the other side of the fence, but those folks have fed me and gave me drink when thirsty at many a rally or gathering. They are always at the various rallies. Usually giving out water, sandwiches, coffee. Alot of jerks are rude to them, but for the most part they are an accepted group in the motorcycle world that even the 1%'s (Angels, and Outlaws), don't bother. Just like to know more about them.

Big country not sure if you are being serious or not Brother, but I had to edit a word out of the title of your thread. PM me if you have any questions. Martin aka Tazman

Big Country,
We have 2 large churches in our area that have large Motor Cycle groups. I'm hoping my son joins one. That way he can get good fellowship and contacts to help him when his bike breaks.

Big Country, I have met and spoken to a lot of the Christian Riders at the rallies. A lot of them are for real . .some aren't. Out of the ones I have spoken to many were non-denominational, some professed to be Pentecostal and yet others, Baptist. It would of course depend on the club President for any given club, but for the most part I believe that they all have a common thread in that they all profess to love God and bikes. I have seen some of them drink and smoke weed and some that did'nt. A lot of these guys are riding for Jesus and are as diverse as any other group or church member you may encounter.
God's blessings in Jesus name frome a "used to be".

Big Country,
Be real choosey to the church you go too. Don't make the same mistake I did. If the people act worldly, that's because they are.
Love ya man,
God has great things in store for you,
You are a child of God.

BC, I'm assuming that you're talking about a christian biker club, such as a sanctioned biker club. I was speaking of a Chapter called the Christian Riders. If you hang out with any club of any chapter you're going to be around drinking and some drugs at some point.
I use to be an avid biker and owned several Harleys at one time. It's against my belief to belong to any club or pledge myself to any thing, but I use to hang out with some guys that were part of what is concidered and outlaw biker club. I never did prospect or join for my personal convictions but came in contact with a couple of "christian" sanctioned clubs. By sanctioned , I mean that they had the approval of the main club to organize and carry their colors on their jackets. So to speak , they are saved by the grace of god , but sanctioned by the grace of the Angels, Bandito's, or etc.

I was referring to a group called Christian Motorcycle Association. They got thier own patch. But inside the CMA is small groups, usually separted by distance or region, that have their own names. I notice on there website there is one near me called Wings as Eagles. I guess there would be some good and bad groups.

At the rallies and sactioned events, I can't say I have ever seen the CMA riders ever partake in spirts or weed. But who knows, guess it depend on who is there and all.

Thanks Chuck for all the support. I was thinking lately about the Church I am going too. Seem like good people. Practices the word of God, and preaches it. But my girlfriend is not too sure about them. They are little heavy handed. Which may be what I need. For instance, I was meeting with an assistent pastor about remarriage to my girlfriend. After some conversation, he said he would have no issues with us getting married. I explained that she wants to get married in the Fall. He should his head and said it won't be any Fall. He wants us to go thru PreMarriatal councelling first which he said will take a while. Do alot of studying on the bible and bascially teaches us how a married couple living under God's will should act. Well I was all for it. But she thinks its too much. Or if they believe a person is living a certain way not in the ways of the church, the elders may knock at your door to straighen you out.

I am just scared right now to go looking for other places. Its a long drive for us to go to this church. About an hour or less. But until I feel much more confident, I would like to stay.

I realize that hardly no one is as weird as I am when it comes to joining an organization. I sold my bikes when I started becoming a more serious christian. I sold them mostly because of the lifestyle and the friends I had. I had to break away from my biker buddies.
Some yrs later, I really wanted another hog and because of some personal circumstances I would have had to affiliate myself with somebody (group). I convinced myself that the Lord was calling me to join or form a christian motorcycle club.
In the process of all of this, to form a club I would have had to go to a major outlaw club to get permission to form this new club. If . . .he gave me permission (and I'm sure he would have), there would have been some contingincys <sp>, such as maybe we would have not been able to have the seats on our bikes for two yrs . . .or some other thing to show that we were under their thumb.
It's been a while since I have been around all of this, but I don't believe that there is any "biker club" that wears colors, that initially did not have to get permission from an outlaw gang to organize, have a club, and wear their colors. This did'nt set well with me.
Also, some of these outlaw gangs, from my experiance deal in drugs, they may do some enforsing for different folk, much of it is associated with organized crime. They like to have respectable clubs around them for PR purposes, and this is why they sanction them.
This is strictly my hang up and I'm not trying to say anyone else should feel the same way. But I just felt that if I was going to do something for the Lord then I would be making a bad first step in going to the devil and asking him if I could do it.
That said, however one finds himself in a christian motorcycle club, he can prolly reach and influence those that are steeped in the outlaw biker lifestyle better than anyone else can. Although I myself have never known of anyone leaving a major non-christian club to join a christian club. A lot of the christian bikers I came across were "free thinkers" and may not push traditional gosple. Although there is a church near-by here that sometimes invites a few christian riders to the service to preach and testify. They come in on their hogs, and the leather, colors and all, two day growth of beard, bandanas, . . .and put on quite a show. The folk at the little baptist church there love em and this one guy with them can really preach a sermon.
What I'm saying is not to put any of the Christian Riders down. I just want you to be as informed as possible. My advice would be to check them out for a long time before you start prospecting for them.

Actually Big country that sounds like a prettty serious church. I know it sounds scary but the church I attended did the same thing. Before he married us we had to go through pre-marital counseling. Tha tis not bad brother. When I met bad church I didn't mean that. Actually that sounds pretty good.
