Brothers and Sisters this is me on the Mount of Olives in 1997 with our guide; a converted Muslim. Those 3 trees are olivetrees. Down the hill about 500 yds is the city of Jerusalem. The Golden gate that was permanently closed by God until Christ walks through is about 700 yds straight down the hill.

[&:]Whoa, Whoa, Whoa..... I've never heard ofthat golden gate! What are you talking about?!?!?! Tell me more, it sounds very interesting! I also have a real brain buster, and you have been there so you may be the one to answer it.
Jesus said the stones of the temple would not be left one on the other in Matthew 24, so what is the western wall! The one they are always praying at? It cannot be the actual temple wall, cause Jesus said it would be gone! And history proves that the Romans did in fact tear down every stone of the temple. So what do you say, Chuck? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Trae
Dear Trae and all other Bible students,
I beg of you to believe this sentence 100%.
Thank you for questioning me. It makes me open my Bible to make sure.
Now, after we have both studied, and then if we don't agree ,that should be fine. That I believe is a true Bible study.
The Golden gate....
Ezekial 44 1 Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. 2 The LORD said to me, "This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered through it.
Edit..Something I found.on the net. A Remarkable Prophecy
I decided to do some research on the matter, and that decision initiated my study of Bible prophecy. I had been attending church for 30 years, but like most Christians, I knew nothing about Bible prophecy. The topic was generally ignored by the preachers in the church I grew up in.
My concordance quickly directed me to the passage that the Orthodox Jew had alluded to. I found it in Ezekiel 44. The context is a supernatural tour the Lord is giving Ezekiel of the future Millennial Temple (40:1-3).
In chapter 43 the Lord gives Ezekiel a vision of God's glory entering the Millennial Temple from the east, through the Eastern Gate. The Lord then says to Ezekiel: "Son of Man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of my feet where I will dwell among the sons of Israel forever" (43:7).
The Lord then reveals to Ezekiel that the Eastern Gate will be closed and will not be reopened until the Messiah returns in glory (44:1-3)

Chuck,
I'm not trying tosay that you're wrong at all, I just never heard of this, so that's why I asked. That is pretty cool! The picture is awesome, are those graves all in front of it? And do the Jews believe the "real" messiah, in their faith, will do this? Or is this only amillennial doctrine? Also, there was no mention of the Christ actually "walking" through the gate, I bring this up because, as you know, I don't believe He will ever set foot on the earth again. Are there any other scriptures? Thanks,
Trae
There are 1000s of graves between the top of the mount to the Golden Gate. Lots of minor prophets. Christ will come walking through that gate when He comes back. He will remained closed until tha ttime.
ChuckPardon the short blunt sentences. The darn computers at school freeze real fast.
