Default Fairly new Christian

Well, I stubbled on this forum since I spend probably more on this forum than most. I am fairly new Christian who finally turned my life to Christ around Easter. Before I go further, is this a mostly mormon page or all around good ole boy Christian page? I study but can't say I have enough knowledge todebate doctrines of the Trinity or anything. But probably not the best page if its mormon dominated. Just curious. Maybe some of youbaptist, good ole boys could raise your hand to see if I am in the right place.

Thanks. Yea, I grew up in a Baptist, independent baptist, old regular, united Baptist when I lived down south. But in MD, I was invited to a "Bible" church that had all the beliefs I grew up with but a little more into what the Bible says. I have been reading NIV and really like it. They use the NKJV which is little more complicated for me.

Been struggling with a few things. Like Pre, post, inbetween tribulation rapture. Kinda bothersome. All I can find on it is Rev. 3:10 talking to the church of Philidephia. Also really studying the Doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome.

Big Country,
You will find all kinds on here. Jesus said you will simply know them by their fruit. A bad tree CANNOT bear good fruit. It won't take long to identify them.
On the other hand...there are some Christians on here that are worth their weight in gold. What I do is PM them. I don't post on here as much as I used too. I PM alot or send E-mails. I have gottin very blessed on here .However; I have also been very offended on here. Keeep in your Bible brother. The true light comes from God's spirit alone. 80 % of what I type on here are in PMs . Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Sincerely,
Chuck

Big Country,
I agree with Chuck, the board is fun and good for many things, but the Bible alone is the guide for the Christian. If you are reading it you will always be lead in the right way. Any questions or commentsyou may have would be a welcomed change and a helpful study for all of us!

Also, I have a suggestion, you stated you were a new Christian, I would say to leave some of those hard to understand doctrines alone for now andconcentrate on the milk of the Word. It is a great way to grow and become stronger in the faith. The Gospels and the Book of Acts are great places to start!!! Some of that other stuff can be kindadiscouraging without a proper foundation in Jesus Christ.
God Bless you.
