O.k. this guy (who I cannot name) was hunting in the mountains of central Romania, and spotted something shining on the next ridge across the valley. He and his goverenment appointed "guide" (the "game wardens" have to accompany anyone on any hunt in Romania, socialism) made their way to the object. It turned out to be a mirror and under it was a canvas military bag. It was very old and the two men struggled to get it out of the soil. When they did, they found that the bag held a number of artifacts from a Romanian soldier during WW2! One of which was a genral issue rifle, the other was a personal shotgun. The hunter that has this gun pleaded with his "guide" to let him keep the shotgun, and suprisingly, he did! The government took everything else! But this is the gun recovered by a regular guy while hunting. It was damaged but he restored it and it looksgreat now. He is wondering if it is worth anything, I really don't know, but itwas made by "PIEPER BAYARD"before that manufacturerwas changed to "BROWNING". It is a 16 guage. Any info would be great! Enjoy the pictures! I have to post a second one with the other picture. I'm not sure of the quality, but I can make it better if you can't see it clearly, I think!
