Default True Love

I have been thinking of how to say this without causing a problem. Although I know most of you know it already, its something That I would like to say. Some have questioned me and tried to stop me and others from speaking keytruths from Gods word. Saying we lack "love". I would submit to you that True Love is what calls for the truth to be said. Luke6:32 says,"For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them." I believe you can love everybody but that love is not going to spark a change! Think about your kids, If your child came up to you and said " mom, dad, you should really try this crack it makes you feel soo good!" Are you going to say " ahh no thanks son, Im not in the mood right now? Or will you freak out and help them change? Love will not agree with sin. Love will help the sinner see the sin. God loves us all, true, God has shown us examples of what happens to those that do not heed his word. Gen.19. I am not ok with someone going to hell because no one ever took the time to help them see Gods plan to save man. I believe that if you really love someone you will show them the truth. If you just say oh yeah I love you because its the right thing to do without helping the person, you are "oking" their sin. Romans 1:28-32 talks about those that aprove of others sins.

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[a] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[b] unmerciful; 32who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. "

Thanks, Caleb

Love is dynamic in action and contagious in effect. Pure love is matchless in majesty; it has no parallel in power and there is no darkness it cannot dispel. It is the undying flame that has set life aglow. The lasting emancipation of man depends upon his love for God and upon God's love for one and all.
Where there is love, there is Oneness and, in complete Oneness, the Infinite is realized completely at all times and in every sphere of life, be it science, art, religion, or beauty. The spirit of true love and sacrifice is beyond all ledgers and needs no measures. A constant wish to love and be loving and a non-calculating will to sacrifice in every walk of life, high and low, big and small, between home and office, streets and cities, countries and continents are the best anti- selfish measures that man can take in order to be really self-ful and joyful.

Caleb, you are a young man. I am not so young. Years of living have shown me that many old sayings are true.

Case in point: "It's not what you say, but how you say it".

I guess tact and diplomacy go hand in hand with love.As we seek to love one another, we need to give thought to gentleness in how we address those we interact with. I am certainly not condoning compromise--just thoughtfulness.
Good post!

Great post Caleb, Sometimes I lack the fine tuning in trying to reach people with the truth of God's word, but you are right if we truly love someone {mankind} then we will see that the truth is taught out of love, not for who is right and who is wrong. Sometimes its hard for me to type what I really want to say, I suppose it is for about everyone. Once again great post. Thanks and God Bless.

Love my friend's is also quite conditional. For you will be forgiven as you forgive. Mercy will be given to the merciful. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. For all the law and commandments hang on this. I truly pitty unfirgiving and unmerciful people. They have such a bitter life.

At the same time, our love for others must be unconditional if we are to fulfill what Jesus calls "the second greatest commandment".

Clint has brought a sticky point into the discussion.

Un-Conditional love, and how it applys to man.

If you were to expound or explain it as it relates to man, what would you say?

Looking for something more than the old stand-by "Love the sinner but hate the sin"

More later, after a few responses.

Thanks
Mr-Pirk

Excellent Mr. Pirk,
There are many examples of this in the New Testament as we see Jesus dealing with the adulterous women, the Samaritan women andZacheous' friends. He never once preached to them. He met each one's spiritual needs where they were at. The difference between Jesus and most today. He had the remedy / the goods. The common people recieved HIm gladly. He truly loved people. He looked past their fault and saw theit need..And some...He would say go and sin no more. He never argued the Samaritan doctrine with the woman at the well. He dealt with the heart of the matter..her sin. And when He left , she was restored .
