Lot's of folk on here from Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. Are any of you guys planning on evacuating? Myself, I'm 50 miles inland from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Right now I'm still sitting here watching to see what it's going to do. If it comes this way more, my wife and I have decided to go see relatives in Arkansas. If it heads more east, and going west would help any of you guys, your welcome to give me a holler.

Bro.Mac, I rode out 3 in a row last year. I spent 4 days after the hurricane
at the Holiday-Inn. We did not have power for 5 days after the last one.
I have a generator, but I wanted to install a quick disconnect, and have'nt
yet. Three house's burnt down close to me, cause they had the generator
running when the power came back on.
I'm sure thankful we did'nt go to the Keys liked I had told you. It's about 125
miles from Key West to Homestead on one route out Only. They are evacuating
and the traffic must be bumper to bumper for a 125 miles. Thank you God.

We have our nice computer on a surge protetor.It just blew up. I'm using her lap top. We are on our way to Walmart to by a new one. The lights only flickered for 2 seconds. The computer made a funny sound. End of story.I'm writing this from her lap top.

Alot of surge protectors are good for only one surge, as far as protecting your computer. One surge protection and then all you really have is a power strip. Too bad about your computer.

Bro.Mac, we just had about 11/2 to 2 inches of heavy,heavy rain and
very strong winds an hour ago. It is calm now, but it could be the calm
before the storm.

Thanks brother. The monitor is still good. I reminded her of what your wife said yesterday and ask her to get one with a photo manager. She took my son to help her put it in the cart. I'm watching out younger son. We got quite a bit of rain but it wasn't even lightening when it blew.i realy enjoyed your wife's post and plan to read it a few more times.

So far here it looks like any other day here. Like I said earlier we're about 50 miles inland from the Ms Gulf Coast, 50 miles from Mobile Alabama, and I guess about 100 miles from Pensacola Fl. I spect our weather to change tommorow. Yeah Reb, I have rode out several, including Camille and Frederick, I've decided it's better to sit out of harms way somewhere.
