John 10: 22-29 We Are Secure In His Hands.

Good Morning Folks,
10:22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. This is around the month of December an dlast for 8 days.

10:23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him,
How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. The Jews kind of hemmed Him in to trap Him. What a foolish question. Jesus has already demonstated the power of God through miracles and He already told them that He was the Good Shepherd that gives eternal life. He"™s already healed a man in Jerusalem who had been bed ridden for 38 years and a blind man 1 chapter ago. They have no heart for God and their ears are dull.

10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. Plain and simple. Those that don"™t belong to Christ can not believe. Can we tell those who won"™t believe.NO, we are not God. Therefore we need to live the truth before all men. Folks , never look on the outside of a person. There are folks out there that are ready to hear the gospel. The fields are ready and white.


10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: That is one of my favorite verses. Why"¦.He is not on some far away planet. He is the one that said,"� I will never leave you nor forsake you."� Jesus said my sheep follow me. They just don't go to church on Sunday, they follow Him everywhere. They strive to obey the Word and in all they do within their hearts.

10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never
perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Eternal Life. Folks , if there were no eternal life or Hell I would still follow Christ. I can"™t live without Him. John 15:5b. "œfor without me ye can do nothing."� I believe that. Wow !!And we will never perish. "œneither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."� I would say we are pretty much secure. I know I"™ve been looking at a lot of warning verses lately but let"™s look at some security verses today.

8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. NOTHING SHALL SEPARATE US FROM HIS LOVE!!
Let"™s just take a minute to thank Him for His love toward us. Thank you Lord Jesus, for your mercies are new every morning and great is thy faithfulness. Thank you for keeping us in the palm of your hand. Thank you for supplying all of our needs and for taking our punishment on Calvary. Thank you for my brothers on this forum.

Also, I didn"™t mean to leave anyone else out. I just know from their post that this is something very dear to them. All are certainly welcome to join in. The word person does not appear in relation to God, except twice in the KJV. Job 13:8 refers to God showing partiality. Heb 1:3 says the Son is the express image of God's own person (meaning nature or substance), not a second person. The bible never uses the plural word "persons" to describe God. (The only possible exception Job 13:10, would abolish trinitarianism, if it applied to God!)

Needless to say, this is a subject that interests me greatly, once again I'm at work so my lack of responce is limited by not being able to quote Chapter and verse. When I get home, . . .Lord permitting, I will post more.

Sorry, can't do that . . . .the only manner that I can reply in is with the authority of the word of God. I'll have to leave professionalism, philosophy, and traditionalism out. I would also suggest that you leave professionalism out and just heed to the Spirit. We can discuss scripture in the Spirit of Christ without having a war.

It would have been handy to have had someone there with Christ when He made the statement in John 10: 30.
Jesus: "I and my Father are one."
Standerby : "Excuse me Sir, but for future generations, your not really, like actually one, your really two seperate persons, and only one in agreement. Great scriptures Bro Chuck; I like the bringing in of Romans 8:38 where Paul stating the things that cannot separate us from Christ says,"nor life". Just plain old every day living, "life", shall not be able. I would venture to say that "life" causes more to fall than most of the other things mentioned. Many can face the major trials and find strength to overcome, but they let their guard down when it comes to the smaller things that go along with "life".
