I noticed this ref. given in a recent post as proof that the Kingdom and the Church were one and the same. I gathered that the thought was, that this verse has already been fulfilled and is now a historical fact and not a prophecy. This is my question, is this apast, present, or future event? The Watch Tower society has predicted dates for this event to happen on several occasions, the must notable being 1914. To save from having to look up the scripture, it reads as follows.
Verse 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Verse 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Verse 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, which was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
These verses say that every eye shall see him when this happens. I didn't see him come in the clouds. Did anyone reading see him come? It says that even those who pierced him would see this event when it happeded.I am sure that notall had died prior to Jesus being ressurected after the third day. Were they ressurected to witness the event? If so when did the ressurection take place? If they were not ressurected, how did they see it with their eyes? When was there a world wide wailing because of him, (looking on him with their eyes)? Verse 8 says that at the time of this writting that these things were future events that were yet to come.
What do you brethern think? What does the scripture say? Give me some feed back on this. Thanks
The bible says that ALL KINDREDS of the earth shall wail because of him. Does this mean only the Jews? Or does it mean everyone who is not saved at that point in time? "All kindreds", coupled with "every eye", would insure that this event wouldn't slip by unnoticed by the gentiles in the flesh, or those who are unbelievers of the gospel.
If this is a future event and yet to come, can we truly say that that which is perfect has already came?

I was refering to Rev 1:7 Behold he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so , Amen
I believe this passage to be a future prophecy that has not came to pass as of the current time. If "that which is perfect is come" means that the prophecy has been fulfilled. then how did so many of us fail to see him? When did the world wide wailing, because of him, take place?
Snooky if I am reading what you have posted correctly, you are addressing the wrong assumption that the, Kingdom of God, on earth has already arrived. If I am reading it wrong please correct me.
I say the perfect complete Kingdom of God has not arrived on earth.
The church is but one part of the Kingdom. God's Kingdom will not be complete or perfect until after the bride and bride groom have been joined. This has yet to be fulfilled.
Thanks
Mr-Pirk
