Default VBS

That's right, Vacation Bible School... how hectic!! My wife is the coordinator for pre-k and k vbs, for both morning and evening sessions. I'm running a "games" station for the evening session (I'm working mornings). What a fast paced -- exciting event. I remember going to several VBS's when I was a kid -- always fun...

Any fond memories out there?

Bro.eto, my wife retired June 1st from Pre-K after 34yrs.
VBS is the best training of the Bible for children. My son
is a childrens Sunday School teacher and helps with VBS
also.

Hey Eto, When I was a kid I did'nt believe in a God. However just for something to do I attended a VBS. That is where God first showed me that He is real! I was about 15, maybe 16. It's a good program and I always sent my kids also. God bless you and your wife for giving unto the Lord.

I went to VBS during my childhood. My kids all went during their childhoods. My wife has worked in the VBS for quite a few years. This year, however, our churches VBS begins next Monday and I'm having surgery to repair a torn labrum in my shoulder. She'll be with me at the hospital that day and driving me home and probably will need to be around the rest of the week as well. Since I'll be off work for 2 months, so the first week probably will necessitate her being here.

VBS is awesome Jim. I've helped in a few myself. You are doing an excellent work and your labour in the Lord is not in vain.

My kids attended VBS last summer ( 7 and 8 years old) they enjoyed it quite a bit, my hat is off to the coordinators of the program.

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Nothing takes the place of godly parents who love their children enought to teach them the ways of God, by word and by example. However MANY parents don't live for God and the child has no example of godliness, righteousness, or Holiness in his life. To these children, VBS, can become the only means of a godly influence in their lives at this most critical time. He that winneth souls is wise. The seeds of faith sown in the hearts of children may lie dormant for years before sprouting into life.
