My wife posted this for me.I don't know what she met by 'real.'
Ourother computer won't post pictures but she can do them on this lap top. The other one is like new too.We think the other one must have a block in it.The bow is an old Darton. It is set at 60lbs and has a draw of 31" with almost no let off.The field is in the back of the school where I teach. I sneak over there when itis closed. I'm going to try to get permission to shoot from a climber.
Have a great day,
Chuck

Once again Brother Chuck, happy 51st, I turned 51 in Novemeber 2004 so I know the aches and pains that are just starting![8D]

BTW I can't tell if you have a wrist strap or not, but your groups will really tighten up if you get a wrist strap and shoot open handed. I didn't think it would make a difference until I bought a new bow and it came with a wrist strap and I tried it, by shooting with an open hand it stops you from torqueing the bow when you shoot, as with Christ where you must have faith, you must also have faith in the wrist strap in the fact that the bow will not fly out of your hand when you shoot.

I appreciate the advice and will try that. My shooting hand has a quick release on it. My groups have gotten a lot better but no where near the friends I shoot with. They are really good.
Thanks for the reply Taz
Chuck

Chuck happy late birthday!I see something else that may cause a tighter group. Try a kisser button. I use one and so does goose. It will help you draw back to the same spot each time. Any archery shop should be able to help you put one on your bow and in the right place.

Moose,
Notice the bottom of the thing that hols the peep sight on. That is what I use as my reference point. It touches my nose.
Thanks ,
Chuck
Moose,
I have 2 weeks off after next week that i could possibly come up. I have teaching training all of next week but posibly we could plan something. What kind of work do you do and what are your hours? I could even go to church with ya.

Taz--it looks like he already has a wrist strap release. The thing I noticed is there doesn't seem to be an anchor point with your release hand Chuck. I know you are using the rear peep sight as a reference, but your groups will tighten DRAMATICALLY once you find and solid and unchanging anchor point. With your release hand kind of "floating around in space" the consistency isn't going to be anywhere near as good as it can be. If your're doing good now, you will be delighted with the improvement you are capable of making.

This is NOT meant to be a criticism--just constructive advice to help you improve your shooting!

Dave,
I am always glad to get help. I do need help. Can you please clarify what you just said and let me know what to buy. I will do it. I am new at archery and try whatever you tell me.
Thanks,
Chuck
PS My right hand doesn't have a wrist band it is a quick release. I did notice the open hand form on the bow forum that Taz was talking about.I will try that Monday. Please.....don't hestitate,I want to learn. Give me all the tips you can.I need them. I just reread your post Dave. Where is a good anchor point for my right hand. Where is your anchor point on your release hand?
