Dear Brothers,
I have been getting so blessed by the 'pressure ' of having a daily study prepared for you all. It is giving me more self-control and is helping me in my walk with the Lord. My #1 goal for doing this study was to show Paul how simple it is. #2 to have something edifying on the forum/for a while it was getting scary. #3.A byproduct...for me ...I really have been learning. It's causing me to deal with verses that I have just skimmed over in the past.
If you are interested...Just reply to this post and tell me what chapter that you plan to do.When it gets time ,I will remind you.If you want to back out..I would be glad to cover for you. I could also use a break as well.[
Don't be shy now.You willl be glad you did. I just simply take notes. Type on Micro soft works. The next day copy/paste. I will finish chapter 6. Feel free to sign up for the others. You will be glad you did.
Wanting to share the blessing,
Chuck
We have some great ones coming up.
If your nervous ..just sign up for one. If you feel confident , go for 2.
John 15 and 10 are dandys.
Nobodies jumping on this one. Chuck, I won't be having the time for a month or two. Also , my home computer is having probs. I think I have some kund of trojan virus that isn't letting me get on the internet. I have something ordered that should help me get rid of it. I was talking to some tech guys last night and their supposed to send me what I need . And besides that, I don't think that I could pull a bible study off here in peace. You have done really well.

Brother Chuck forgive me, but since I only do this at work I will not be able to commit to helping you out. There are days when I have a lot of time and others where I have none. My job is like the Maytag washing machine repaiman guy normally but when something goes wrong I am jumping through hoops. Brother Chuck I want to thank you for your study.

Leaf,
Thanks brother for responding. I am taking Snooky's advice though and plan to use alot lees commentaries to keep it more personal. Not only that,I'm kind of sending a message that one can't study the word without them and that isn't true. I'm having to break out of some old habbits.
Chuck
You are certainly welcome. I just wanted to share the blessiing. I'm not kidding when I say the Lord has been blessing me. He is blessing me abundantly in all areas and I know it's HIm. The blessings have been in the areas of...
1. Over coming lust
2. Wisdom on eatting
3, Wisdom on finances
4. Aaron's behavor has gotten better
5. Favor with the neighbors
6. Revival in my household
And most of all better and sweeter fellowship with God,
I know it's from honoring his Word.

Chuck, I have no reason, nor do I wish to go against Bro Snooky's advice . . .and I'm not. I think the only problem with commentaries is when one go's to a commentary and takes them for the final truth. Commentaries . .at least to me often open up aspects of a scripture that I had'nt considered. Of course the folk that authorize these commentaries are just folk . . .educated, but none the less simply folk with their own biases. I personally think that your use of commentaries have aknowledged that there are several angles to ponder on some verse's, and has helped your posts to pretty well go unmolested. I'm not saying one way or the other what would be best, . . just pointing out that what you have been doing has worked so far. Personal comments to your posts have pretty well represented eah persons personal slant on the scriptures you are addressing.

I think I need to make myself a little cleared on the use of commentaries. I am not against there use as long as we are aware of the writers personal views and, as Leaf has said, don't take what is said there as the final truth. I just think, "what saith the scripture", should over ride any statements made by the commentator, historian, linguist, pastor, teacher, or who ever is presenting the idea. I am often amused when one presents a scripture to prove a point, and then goes to a slanted source to prop up the scripture. The way I see it is that the scripture should be supported by another scripture to prove it's validity as a doctrine, and not what some man has read into the scripture. There is saftey in the multitude of counsel, but when all the counselor's are looking to the same slanted source, it only ingrains error in doctrine that is very hard to remove.
Bible study teachers will tell you that they usually are the ones who get the most out of the sudies because they HAVE to study the verses in order to teach them and answer any questions. I'm glad you're getting "supercharged" by this ministry Chuck!
Personally, I only get online on my days off from work--no more than once or twice then and sometimes not even then. I have been asked about being a moderator and had to decline for similar reasons. I appreciate the time and resources committed by those who can do this.

Be it known Snooky,
I love you a ton. When I come back with a reply ,it's never to belittle you ,cause doubt or such.It is from one Bible learer to another. I have learned so much from you.More than concepts though...your pastor's heart. I am also intriqued at how well you answer others.
