Default The Joy of the Lord is our Strenghth

Dear Friends,

I have a rough time with my mind. Therefore; I stay off of the bad sites TOTALLY, we haven't had the TV hooked up in a long time and still I found a powerful tool of Satan to cause your brother to stumble. If the "Joy of the Lord is our strenghth", it looks like the enemy is out there trying to rob our joy. I've been bummed for the last 3 days because of the coldness that I see on this forum. We don't try to encourage joy, instead many of us are depressed and I've noticed in our weariness we are more prone to sin.Jesus said,in John15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. Nehemiah 8:10"for the joy of the LORD is your strength. "

Think about it. If you are truly wanting people to grow, don't be a vessel to cause others to be depressed. Remember....When folks feel lousy about themselves they are more prone to backslide. Please be nice . I will work on this as well.

Brother Chuck

Brother Chuck although I have not been able to catch up on the last three days, I have seen turmoil amoung the bretheren here that has dis-heartened me also.

I hate saying this, but we are all mere men and it is hard for all of us to be loving as Christ has taught us in all that we do, sometimes we can not help our selves when we see some one express a beleif that in our own hearts we feel is wrong instead of simply saying this is what I beleive and why, we feel the urge to instead say "You are wrong" or "That is non-Biblical".

It is almost as if we all have this greater need to prove our beleifs right rather then to share the love of Christ with one another.

Taz, I realize that I often come off as rude. I very often get into the flesh and make war rather than show the love of Christ. I have concluded however to not debate anymore unless my spirit is right. Also regardless of my fear that someone may think that I can't defend my belief, . .if I see that their spirit is hostile and destructive, I will not feed into it. I realize that others believe differently than I do, . .and however strongly I may feel in regard to their . . . what I believe to be error, I can't in my flesh do anything about that. My apoligies to anyone I may have offended . . my forgiveness to anyone who may think they have offended me.

Leaf ,
I personally thought you have been posting some awesome replys.I just don't like saying Amen because it looks like I'm choosing sides. They did not appear fleshly at all.

Brother Leaf all of us on occasion have come off as rude, even when not meaning to be, I ask forgiveness as well as forgive those who feel they may have hurt me or I them.

Brother leaf I feel this quote from you is one we can all benefit from:
Quote:

This is an excellent way to aproach debate here.

I have been trying to avoid hurting others by simply stating what I beleive and asking questions of others concerning their beleifs.

One of my biggest battles I fight on a daily basis is judging others, both as individuals and thier beleifs.

The hardest part of being a Mod in this forum is I have to judge others and even myself to a certain extent, the hardest part is that I have to keep my personal beleifs out of the equation to try and be consistant and fair.
