Default Jn.5:15-21 The Oneness of God & Jesus

Good morning, hunters.
There"s a lot of information in chapter 5, so we will be taking it in small chunks. Today we"ll be going through verses 15-21.
The man who was healed told the Jews, "that it was Jesus, which had made him whole." The Jews must have had some pretty serious influence in the day. For if one confessed Christ they were excommunicated from the temple/church. Even though John 9:33, "if this man were not of God he could do nothing." I don"t ever recall any demons ever healing anyone in the Old Testament or the New Testament. That"s why it baffles me why anyone cannot give credit to a healing to God. "Satan/the thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy." (John 10:10) The devil does not heal.
Verse 16 - But the Jews had no understanding so, "Therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus and sought to slay/kill Him, because He had done theses things on the Sabbath day."
Verse 17 - "But Jesus answered them, "My Father worketh hitherto and I work." This verse points that Christ and God are one. Jesus can"t help but to work for it is God in Him doing the working. We should be the same way. We can"t help but to witness because of the Spirit in us.
Verse 18 - "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his father, making Himself equal with God." (something that Leaf and Snooky have been preaching). Amen. The Jews understood this concept of what Jesus was saying and it made them mad.
Verse 19 - Jesus answered again, "Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise."
Verse 20 - "For the Father loveth the Son, and showed Him all things that Himself doeth: and He will show Him greater works than these, that ye may marvel."
Verse 21 - "For as the Father raises up the dead, and quickened them; even so the Son quickened whom He will." He"s saying I will do greater things than turn water into wine, clear the temple and heal lame men beside the pool. I will raise the dead. This is the ultimate. Even with cancer there is a thread of hope with chemo, prayer and surgery. But death"what hope is there after death? Folks, Jesus is the "resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me though he were dead yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." (John 11:25-26) NO counterfeit religion can raise the dead. Jesus is the life. He and the Father are one. And He wants us to be one with the Father and the Son.
John 17:20
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
17:21
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
17:22
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
17:23
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
God Bless You All,
Remember the following in prayer:

Leaf"s friend Dennis
Paul

Sincerely,
Brother Chuck

Thought for today. Don't be so crystalized in your beliefs that God can't work a miracle in your own personal life.
Ephesians3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above ALL THAT we ASK or THINK, according to the power that worketh IN US,

Chuch; What a great post! The devil has gotten us all so involved in trying to destroy our brother that the truths of the word has fallen by the wayside. "The devil does not heal", very true. Lets take it one step farther. Does the devil ever do anything good for mankind? My bible says that every good gift, and every perfect gift, is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights. Why would we not want to give God praise for all things?

Chuck , this is a great post. I plan on refraining from posting much, but you are to be commended.

Chuck, just to clarify, I know God works miracles every day, and have never believed otherwise.

There are things I wonder about, because I have seen footage of heathen rituals that seemed miraculous--what should have been serious injuries seemed to have little to no effect, and healed within days. I don't question God on these things, but I don't believe for a minute that God is the power behind these unexplainable events.

Chad,
Thanks so much for replying. I agree with you to some degree. There is powers in black magic. I knew some pretty intense crazy people who I believe had some of those powers ,but Chad they were not used for healing.Instead they were used for....
To get money
Seducing people...like Charles Manson
Confidence to do evil..like in these school shootings.
possibly curses....
To get power/ like a position at a work place etc. Mafia ...
The devil does evil not good.

Brother Chuck

Again...I have never heard of or seen anyone get healed by demons.
