This all started when I read some of you responses to the post on wether muslims will end up in heaven. I was shocked at some of your thoughts. Some one in there said that they were so "lost", In your eyes yes, but in theirs they are doing just what they think is right and holey.
I was born into an Irish Catholic family and was raised that way tell I was in 3rd or 4th grade. I atended CCD up until then. One day I asked my teacher about hell and If I would go there if I didnt go to church every sunday, she told me flat out yes that I will go to hell because I missed church some times. I was devistated, that was the last class I ever went to and the last time i enjoied church. I havent been inside a church in many years.
All the judgmental coments in that muslim post reminded me of her, and it made me sick. I dont have any idea what god wants of me or anyone else on this earth so I will not judge anyone for who they are, but i do know what is good and right and that is what I live by and to me telling people what they should beleve is not right. Who are we to judge what is the perfect path in life.
In know way is this post intented to attack anyone, I know you are all good people and are doing your best in life, but so are muslims just not in the same way you are.
On a side note I have a freind in Iraq who dosnt know what he is fighting for, I thought the crusades were over.
Hey Guss, where you go when you die is up to you and God. No person can tell you you must go to church to go to Heaven, thats not their place. As for.....

We have all the blue prints to lead the way! Its called the bible and it was placed before you in the wrong way!
I'm praying for you brother.Sorry to hear of your bad church experience. No ,you won't go to Hell for not attending church. Salvation is not in church membership it's being Born Again. A good church is hard to find. If you find one you are a blessed man. After Paul had an encounter with Christ he went alone for a long time in the desert. That is a good idea. Read your New Testament alone. I have confidence that Christ will speak to your heart and point you to the road to LIFE.
Brother Chuck
Guss,
God knows your heart, He is the ONLY judge that matters. The thing is that He has given you the book with all the answers in it! As Chuck said, read the Book, it has the answers adn the truth of life. God bless you.

Guss, I had a similar experience with the nuns and responded pretty much the way you did. Ultimately, fear and guilt are poor motivators to do good.
