Default The Shroud of Turin

What's your opinion on it? Is it really the burial shroud of Christ or just another shroud that clearly shows a crucified man?

It is the burial shroud of Jacques DeMolay, the Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Who was mockingly crucified like Christ in the middle ages.

No disrespect to anyone but does it really matter? Does it change ones faith? Please do not get me wrong, but I find it close to idol worship when artifacts are treated as if they are Holy due to the possibilty that Christ or Mary may have touched them.

I agree Taz , these things are interesting, but it's just like visiting the Holy Land . .I plan on going one day maybe, but I'm more interested in where Jesus is than where He has been.

Perhaps I was misleading with my thread. I don't really know whether this piece of cloth was Christ's burial cloth or not --I've heard convincing arguments from both sides. Even if I KNEW that this was the genuine shroud of Christ, I would not worship IT. Christ is who I worship.

I do find it intriguing though. I saw a news article a few days ago which used CSI-like technology to portray what Jesus looked like--you have to assume that the Shroud was genuine for this to work. I have no reason to believe one over the other, but I thought it might be an interesting topic to discuss.

Have any of you read this? The Turin Shroud has been confirmed as a fake.
