Default Luke 3:5

Luk 3:5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

Does this speak to us today?

Leaf,
I saw that as the fulfilment when Christ came. That was part of a quote when John the Baptist would say,Prepare ye the way of the Lord."

I know you guys are right . .but I apply this verse to all of my life's challenges, because the nature and power of God makes it true. I use it when I'm mad or challenged or really down and oppressed. He will fill my valley's and tear down my mountains, and expose the deeds of my oppressors as well as the hidden things within myself, so that my path will be sure to His gates.

I agree,

My mom was in prayer once for my dad who smoked over 2 packs a day.While reading the scriptures this verse popped out to my mom.
John
4:16
Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither

My mom obeyed the Lord. My mom is a devout Pentecostal. My dad a very conservative Methodist. My dad came to the den where my mom frequently prayed. She laid her hands on him in Jesus name to stop smoking.He hasn't picked up a cigerette since. So yes ,Jesus can use scripture out of context. I've seen it done many times.
