I Cor:
7:15
But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
14:30
If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
16:11
Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
My heart aches.[&o]

II Cor: 13:11
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Quote:
Gal: 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Quote:
Eph: 2:17
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
4:3
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
6:15
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Quote:
Col: 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Are we abiding as we are instructed?

Some of the threads have gone beyond a loving discussion of our beleifs...... I am just as guilty as others, I guess it started with some thing said to me personally and the more I looked at some other threads the more it ached.

Taz,
Yeah that's why I decided to love them all. This stuff can really where on you .You have a sensitive heart. Some folks enjoy argueing. I don't I don't mind discussing with a few of you because I know your not trying to save me or out smart me. Your post are interesting . I like the verses on peace. They spoke to me.I actually thought you had something else in mine like our 2 brothers who have fallen away. That is very sad.
I have something to say here, as a non christian. Not picken on ya just stateing my observations. I have seen two things in Christanity that I know for a fact have turned people off
1) the fighting, how can you expect anyone else to believe scripture when you cant even agree on its meaning, or if you can follow it or ignor it, or the contridicting scripture you post when fighting? When your rippen each other apart your not exacly a shinning image of the love of christ that you talk about.
2) Many times I have been treated like crap by christians one this very board (not recently though, I used to have diffrent screen name). When you start flinging scripture and telling people they are going to hell they ignor ya, or you scare them off. People like chuck are much better at getting the message across.
Just my 2 cents take em or leave em up to you.
Rachel
Everybody has different ways, and to varying degrees percieve truth in different ways. The problem is not debating our beliefs , but losing our cool when we either don't have the info we want or when our belief doesn't hold up. Just like in the real world , the trouble doesn't start until it's put on a personal level , and names are called or a persons deepest values are slandered. We may believe something bu not always have a right to voice it, . . .such as whether a persons belief is going to put someone else in hell . . .not one of us has the power to make that judgment regardless of what we believe. I'm speaking of those that profess Christ. I can only say that I'm glad that only God will be my judge rather than man . .any man . .including myself.
But as far as divisions go, they will exist on some level , no matter what, . . .as long as there are false doctrines . .by anybodies perception.

Leaf,
I agree you get a bunch of people together there are going to be diffrences. It is the personal level that gets ugly. Of course religion is a very personal thing.
