Default Struggling

Guys, I need some prayers. I'm struggling with sexual sin. What I mean by this is maybe once a week I masterbate. I hope I don't offend anyone on here and I sure hope I don't lose anyone as friends even though I've only been in this forum for over a week. I just want to stop doing the masterbation. I've been blessed in my life by not ever doing any drugs and not liking alcohol. But my problem has been with the flesh and I hate this and need some prayer. I thought this might be a good place to be able to speak about this. I hope I'm right. Thank's to everyone on here who has took the time to type something back to me. I really appreciate it all. Paul

Paul,
I apppreciate your transparent heart and honesty. This is one area that torments many a Christian man.I believe Strut encouraged you with this word a while back." Remove yourself from the situation. " For me it was get rid of the TV. I do watch videos and DVDs. I do not play worldly music at all for the same reasons. WHATEVER you do ...don't compromise and let anyone talk you in to thinking lust is normal and ok.There aer 2 important words here.
Consecration and Sanctification.
Consecration is what Strut mentioned. ...separate yourself 2Corinthians 6:17 Come out from among them and be ye separate. It's like separating a vessel or cup to be used by the Lord.

Sanctification... is the cup being cleaned.
Ephesians
5:26
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, Reading and practicing th e Word cleanses us.
Also David in the book of Psalms says this.
119:11
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Also 1 Peter 1:22 says
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit .
Notice ...Your obedience comes through the Spirit of God. I would admonish you to read tons of the New Testament daily.John 15 says apart from me anmd my word YOU CAN DO NOTHING. Even 30 year old Christians will fall daily if they get out of the Word. APART FROM HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING.

Last but not least,,
1 John 8 says
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Brother I don't care how many times you sin....confess tha tsin to God.HE LOVES YOU. ALL THE BROTHERS HERE ARE DEALING WITH SOMETHING IN THEIR LIVES. I wish we had the humbleness of heart that you have. Stay in the Word.Memorize it, eat it often, speak it out loud when tempted as Christ did in Mattthew chapter 4 against Satan.
Pray daily...just be yourself in prayer
and lastly ...except God's forgiveness. Don't go around depressed.Thank Him for taking your place on the cross. He took your guilt and shame.
Always feel free to e-mail me at Chuckborden7@aol.com

Your brother,
Chuck
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from ALL sin.

I really appreciate this guys. This is something that I've been struggling with for awhile. It seems I do really great for few weeks then out of the blue I find myself doing it. I've just finished reading the new testament a few weeks ago. Should I go back and re read it again? Is there certain chapters I should read? What about the Old Testament? Thanks for the replys because I can use all the advice I can get.

Right after I read and posted my last post, I was making some waffles. I went in the living room and got down on my knees like I do almost daily and prayed that the LORD will give me the strength to repent and transform me so that I learn his words and use them to live my life by. After everytime I pray I always feel so great, that I just lifted or got something big off my shoulders. I love this feeling. I just want to live as righteous as I possibly can for the LORD. I just thought I'd write this. Thank you all.

Brother Paul, the more you read of the Bible, OT & NT the closer you draw to God and the further away Satan is. What I would reccomend is think back to what you were doing before you did this, once you figure that out, then stop doing what you were doing that led to this or if what you were doing prior was not sinful then pick that as your new time for Bible study.

Brother Taz that makes alot ofsense to me. I find when I'm doing this, it's almost always when I have bnothing to do to keep myself busy. I've been trying to read my bible at home, I do most of my reading at work before work for about 30 to 45 mins. I'm going start doing it here at home when I awake in the morning. This might sound dumb, but I bought a new 3d target yesterday to shoot my bow at so I can do my daily bible learning and shoot my bow and do my house chores and all this should help me keep my mind off of doing "that".

Paul,
I sincerely mean it.You are in my prayers Also you can't get too much of the Word. In your journey stick with serious Christians only. I just bought the New Testament on CDs. I found them on Ebay for 27.00 They are in a nice case the size of a sandwich. I play them on my way to work. The advice my favorite Christian teacher told me when I was a baby Christian was,"Read the gospels till you see Jesus 's feet walking off the pages."

You will stay in my prayers,
Chuck

Bro.Paul, I don' know how old you are or if you are married with children.
Yes, the Bible tells us it's a sin, your punishment is it will make your sperm
count very low when you decide to have children. You might have a chemical
inbalance that produces to much Testestirone. This can be controlled by a doctor.
Yet Doctors tell us it stimulates the protrate gland. What I would do is Pray
about it and seek help from your Doctor. The only one who really can help
you is GOD, but GOD helps those that help themselves. Lust is, Satan working
on your Mind. Are you Christian Science? Pray to the LORD that he gives you
the Wisdom and Courage to persue this matter. He will Paul, I know he will!
Your brother in Christ,RH
