Brother Mac, I have been ask to leave from many places that I have tried
to pass them out, especially KKK-Mart.
I found a good way to approach a person.......bow and cover your eyes, stretch
out your arm and say.... Please don't hit me.....will you read this when you have time?
People will most times take them and say.... Sure!

I hardly ever give them to actual people, but rather leave them in doctors offices, district office, class rooms, police station, rest areas, stores, fishing spots, just anywhere I feel led. I usually keep a couple with me just for whatever.

Rebel,

I stood in the middle of a busy intersection once.I did this regularly for about 3 years. When cars would stop I would give some of them 'Chick Tracts', they are some of my favorites. I would make various sandwich signs and wear them. It was a powerful ministry until it began killing my back. I would get about 200 waves per hour , one or two bad jesters. Daily some would bring me water ot tip me.One fellow gave his heart to Christ at the highway.I prayed with some. I was simply being obedient and was blessed. I was creative in my art work and bought good sign material. I learned over all, people are not as bad as one might think. A pastor and I in a Nazerine church became best friends. He got a 1 square mile map of every home in our immediate area. We knocked on most of those doors.About 90% were very open .Church attendance tripled. His goal was to get his physical foot in the door. Once he did we would usually end of praying with them. He is currently a missionary in Costa Rica. Once when I went on a water fast for 6 1/2 days I was promted by the Lord to go door to door. 100% of the homes were totally open.I was a little nervous. I went by faith expecting God to fill by mouth. He did.

I have to be in a certain mood to pass out tracts. Usually I'm too busy, scared ,or have no confidence. This is what my flesh looks like.

This is what it takes for me to pass them out.... I need to be locked in to God in such a place I don't care about being rediculed. I must be led . I must be in a place where Jesus can use me as the answer in someone's life. I honestly ususally only do this when I'm food fasting and speech fasting. Days in which I purpose to only drink water and refrain from talking. When you do this it is much easier to be led of the Spirit. I then only use my mouth for the glory of God. Usually I don't pass out tracts. We are the tract. We are always saying something to others. Either ,look at my life for a complete joke in the Lord ,or look at my life if you want to see Jesus. We should always be instant in season and out of season. Rebel, this is a good post. This is another interesting post to see the heart of the believer. Our work is to spread the message of Jesus to a lost world. I'm guilty of not doing this enough. Thanks for reminded me Rebel.Be it tract, door to door or whatever, we should be witnessing.
Chuck
PS Satan does his best to keep the Christian quiet.Condemnation usually works good for him. Or ,"I don't know the Bible good enough ,or they probably have already heard, or first I need to straighten up.If that is the case, then straighten up.
