Taz, I sure ain't no scholar, . . .far and away from it. But I am a curious sort . . .could you give me an example of the word/ words your speaking of?

Depends on the usage Taz--we have words like that in the English language as well. Take the word "run" for instance. You can run away, run to the store, go running (as in jogging), run someone crazy, run around like a chicken with it's head cut off, run the tub full of water, run off at the mouth, run for mayor, etc. etc. Same spelling, same pronounciation, lots of different meanings.
The words that translate as "wine" have several different meanings in the Bible. If memory serves me correctly, it can mean alchoholic wine, grapes in the field, grapes in the press, fresh pressed juice, a jelly-like food staple, and maybe a few other things.
That's one reason we are told to "rightly divide the word".

Taz, Congnac is also made from the grape. It's a process after the wine
is made. I agree with you on Greek is Greek, but the interpretations are
not. We need a Greek person on this Forum, wish we had one!

Okay the Greek word is psallo, it is a verb, and the root word is probably strengthened from psao (to rub or touch the surface).
Last time I checked a verb was a verb, not being a greek scholar I don't know if a verb changes from the OT to the NT or if it is to fit ones Dogma that it changes.

Taz,
The Old Testament is written in Hebrew. The New Testament is in Greek. In the Strong's Concordance they have the diffenitions of both,Old Test.Hebrew and New Test.Greek.
Would any of you guys see saying this scripture in this way as correct ?:
In the beginning was the verb, and the verb was with God , and the verb was God. . . . .Rebel Hog, do you have a bible in Spanish? If so how does John 1:1 read?

My son does, but I don't cause my wife is Anglo.
My son and my wife don't speak Spanish. My son
has it cause it was my Mother's. I don't even know
where he keeps it. I will ask him about it.
