Praying before eating

I don't know exactly what to say before I eat something. I usually say thank you LORD for this meal and everything you've given and blessed me with AMEN. What should I say?

Brother I have always let the spirit move me in my prayers, be they before a meal or not. I personally always end my prayers "In Jesus name I/we pray Amen". Prayer to me is from the heart, not from a book.

Bro.Johndeer, yes ask the Lord to bless the food you are about to eat and thank him
every time for him being in you heart and to give you wisdom and guide you
in the right path, in thy Name I pray, AMEN!
I thank him for fellowship when I'm around friends and for thier families that
might need prayer. What ever needs to be prayed for at the time?
If you keep doing it, it will automaticly come natural from your heart.

Bro.Johndeer, the Lord has given you the wisdom and is guiding you
in the right path already. Thank the Lord every chance you get in your

I ask the Lord to bless the food He is providing for me and to help me to use it in His service.

How many of you pray before eating at work, or in a restaurant or other public place?

DaveH, yes not only do we pray in public places, but we also hold hands in prayer.
