If you think Israel causes us problems now as an ally, can you imagine if they became adversaries?

Why do you think we haven't bombed Saudi Arabia...same reason. Consequences of our "friendly" relationship are much better than if we actually kicked their arse!

The Israelis would probably appreciate the freedom. But they have a proporationally sized 9-11 every other month (at least until Arafat died). I see no problem at all supporting them.
