Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Wisconsin Burning

Rapids Tribune
Quote:
BIG FLATS - A wildfire that swept through northern Adams County on Thursday scorched more than 3,900 acres and destroyed an undetermined number of homes, as hundreds of residents fled its path.
I've hunted this area, and have relation living near there.

The TV was reporting last night that this may have been started by some idiot burning leaves or grass.

DAMNED SHAME!

Has it been that dry up there?

Not really, the only problem is that we had a relatively mild winter so the area isn't saturated like a sponge (which would be normal).

Yes.

Most places have had burning bans for weeks now. Our spring is supposed to be wet (flooding even), but not the last two years. Very dry and dangerous. I've been pumping water daily just trying to save the lawn.

Don't know what the farmers without irrigation are going to do.

Ahhhhh, it ain't that dry here in Waukesha. Sure we haven't had much rain/snow this year but it's not like it's 90 degrees and sunny either.
